Location and cost were key

Location and cost were key, of which this hotel provided. However, the window a/c unit blew directly on the head of the bed through the sheer curtain, which was not ideal. The hotel could definitely use upgrading.

Quick trip

Our room was so stuffy. There were burn holes and stains on the bed. The towels were stained with make up and who knows what else! The entire hotel and room had a gross body odor smell. We went to get the free breakfast at 9:40, it was all locked up. They told us it was open until 10. I would recommend spending a little extra money for a clean hotel!!

HOTEL - BAD EXPERIENCE

We couldn't get into the room with the key they gave us. We had to go down to the lobby twice to get it replaced until someone from the lobby had to come to open the door. The room had not been cleaned or made when we came back from outside on the first day in the afternoon. They didn't have clean towels to replace dirty ones with because their washing machine wasn't working. The bed had bed bugs.

Beautiful hotel

This hotel is close enough to the conference center to walk in nice weather. The building is beautiful and the rooms are unique. Get to breakfast before the other hungry travelers have all gotten there.

Good hotel for the price

Get what you paid for. Would recommend to others. Location was not the absolute best but able to get taxis right out front easily.

disappointed

No Parking! This was a surprise and a big hassle. Called front desk prior to checking in and was told $15 a day at parking garage next door. Was $30 a day. Checked in, friendly staff. No inspection posted in either elevator. Only one of our room keys worked. Room was small, smaller than our bedroom at home. Nice new sink and flatscreen tv. Glad the hotel is making steps to go green. Telephone in room didn't work. Heat would not go above 65 degrees.

business trip, business as usual

First if all this is a two star hotel, and I would rate it as such. The room was clean with a queen bed, but ut was small. The tv was smaller than usual 3 and 4 star hotels angot only a small number of channels, though hbo was included the staff at the front desk were polite and helpful. The location was convient to downtown and the Metro's Charles Street station, but this being Balttimore, there were a lot of homless loitering near the hotel. But at $119 for the night it was a good economic choice

Just what was needed

I don't have any complaints about the Quality Inn Downtown. It was exactly what I paid for, and as it was the marathon weekend, pickings were slim. I was grateful to have been able to make a reservation at all. Staff was very friendly, parking was easy even though it was not provided by the hotel.

Interesting old place partially modernzed.

We wound up paying a different rate each of four nights because of availability of accommodations, ranging from $79-$129. Breakfast: room spacious, food ample and not bad, not gourmet.. Desk staff a bit iffy depending on time of day or night. Hard-working room service.
