Baltimore beauty at its best
The Mount Vernon Hotel offers guests the perfect Baltimore setting. The hotel is located near Charles Street, the Baltimore Convention Center, the Inner Harbor, stadiums and other area attractions. The historic and cultural center of Baltimore is at its doorstep. The Mount Vernon Hotel was originally a YMCA and underwent a complete $3 million renovation in August 2008. Today, the hotel welcomes both business and leisure guests with its stunning architecture and warm hospitality. Guests with cars can access limited garage parking for a fee.

Preakness race
We booked a queen size bed we got a full. We called the front desk for more towels and it took an hour. We also had to pay $30 to park at the hotel for 2 days. But was close to walk to restaurants and bars.

Nice location
The hotel was located in a nice location to see the sites; I liked the Hotel but was not impressed with the staff on their cleaning. When we got to the room it was very clean but each day the staff did a below average keeping the room clean.

Good Safe Choice
Our rooms were spacious. The furniture was more than adequate. The beds were comfortable. The room had one negative. The air-conditioner was not working , the windows could not be opened and as you might imagine,it was very uncomfortable, The desk staff apologized at checkout. The buffet breakfast was just okay. I would go back but I would test the AC before I settled on the room.

Go to "Little Italy" for dinner. The food and service at our restaurant (Ciao Bella) was excellent.

The staff was friendly and more then willing to give directions or assistance. The hotel itself was quiet and comfortable. Our room was small but it was clean and cozy. We only stayed in Baltimore for the night but we're looking forward to going back.

Stay during interview
I had a stay here for an interview. Parking is $14 across the street or $16 with the hotel per day. Friendly staff, good for price. One of the coffee packs was open and missing the cream for my morning coffee. Sad face.

Great location, very nice hotel!
Very pleased with the accommodations. Hotel has certain charm, and is well located in the Mt. Vernon district of the city. Excellent buffet type breakfast and included in the price. Easy parking right in front of Would certainly recommend staying there.
