Location and Comfort

A great suite style room one block from the inner harbor. "Free" breakfast and bottled water included in a $9.95 per day extra charge. Staff extra nice and helpful. When our NY Yankee game was rained out was decided to stay another night and it was handled well. Valet parking ($36/night) was helpful BUT you have to turn at the corner just before the hotel or else you wander through a maze of one way streets and alleys. Should be a map on their website. But when we return to Baltimore we would stay @Brookshire again.

Brookshires Suites

We arrived late, went to our room& discovered it was a regular room, when we had reserved a king suite. Do not know if the mixup was due to the travel booking company or the hotel. But this caused us to repack/relocate after midnight. The staff was great about it though. Parking is totally valet, something of a pain, but again the staff was great. The hotel is boutiquey, so small. Breakfast was served each day-we ate it the first morning but it was standard fare so went out after that. We've stayed at 2 other 4+ star hotels in the inner harbor & prefer either over this hotel

Great Location, Great Staff

The location is perfect, one block from Inner Harbor. Cute bar in the lobby for beer and wine, and a decent free morning breakfast that offers eggs, pastries, etc. Neighborhood bar around the corner (Peter's) along with a great breakfast restaurant and a full blown sports bar. The staff at the hotel is the best, very courteous and very helpful. Some of the rooms are small and soundproofing could be better, but the price is good for Inner Harbor area.

Sort walk to the Inner Harbor!

We came to Baltimore to take my son and his girlfriend on a cruise of the harbor for his birthday and decided to stay in town rather than make the long drive back home. After searching through various websites for rates on hotels in the Inner Harbor, we chose the Brookshire for its price and its distance to the Harbor. We did not try the valet parking, but it is available for a reasonable fee. There is a $10 charge which is used to offset the costs of Wifi and breakfast. We had a room that included a sitting area with couch and TV, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, and coffee maker, and a room with a king bed and small bathroom. For a one night stay in the city, this was a fantastic choice! We weren't there long enough to say wonderful things about the staff, but we were greeted warmly when we entered and were wished a good day when we checked out. The only complaint I have is that it was difficult to sleep because the room was so warm - we had the AC set as low as it could go and turned the fan on High, but it was still a bit warm for sleeping. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the Inner Harbor that is within walking distance of all the Harbor has to offer (such as shops, food, Science Center, Aquarium, water activities etc., etc., etc) this is definitely the hotel to choose. The decor is a bit unique - more eclectic than what you would find at the higher-priced mega-hotels. Be prepared to see many photos of Frank Zappa and other artists gracing the walls. Enjoy the breakfast with the beautiful view of the Harbor to start your day. But, keep this unique hotel on your list!

Weekend getaway

Went to Baltimore to take in the inner harbor once again. Orioles game, Little Italy and Fell's Point. Brookshire Suites compares very favorably to other places we've stayed at the inner harbor. Would be my first choice next time.

Perfect for a one night stay in the inner harbor

Checked in without any issues; staff was very friendly; had no problems with noise and we were right next to the elevator; sheets and whatnot were clean. The only complaints I have are 1) that parking could be better - there's no circle to pull through, so we had to pull up to the curb, and decided to park our own car and walk a block instead of using valet, and 2# the ceilings are low. I'm 5'1 so it wasn't an issue, but my boyfriend noticed it right off the bat. Otherwise, amazing location in close proximity to the harbor #1 block!#, Little Italy #go to La Scala, has AMAZING food) and Fell's Point. Would definitely stay again.

Urban experience

I booked the Brookshire Suites for a one-night stay as a way to get a taste of Baltimore. We took the Marc train from D.C., hopped on the purple free circulator bus at Penn Station and walked only two blocks to the hotel. We were greeted by large photos of several musical icons -- Mama Cass graced our room. Hotel staff were very kind and helpful and we were, thankfully, able to check-in early. The location is great -- just a block off the inner harbor. We walked to little Italy for lunch, perused historic Fells Point, took a water taxi to the Visionary Arts Museum and hopped on another to get us back to the hotel. The next morning, a five block walk took us to the light rail which delivered us to the airport for only $1.60. You don't need a car in Baltimore!

Don't rent a car. Baltimore has great public transportation and the Brookshire is in a very accessible location.
