When we arrived we were told there was a destination fee of 9.95 for wireless, breakfast, 2 waters a day, newspaper . All ... stuff that you would expect to get free any other place. I told them i didn't care for this extra package but they said "you do not have a choice". It was a good price until you add 9.95 a day extra.

It was good...but not great.

TMcGee Sep 28, 2009

When I first arrived, I loved the look of the hotel. When I went to the check-in counter the lady who helped us was helpful. ... There were a few things right away that i was very dissapointed with. First there was no parking lot for the hotel, you had two options for parking---valet parking which was $30 or pay for a garage. I ended up parking in a garage because I don't trust other people with my car, which then costed me $45 to park for the night. That was $45 on top of already paying $200 for staying one night. I think that is ridiculous. Then we had to carry all of our stuff from the parking garage across the street, with out a lugage carrier because they told us we werent allowed to take it across the street. Again I feel like thats a tad bit ridiculous. The room was ok...I asked for non smoking and I could tell the room they put us in was most definatly a smoking room. I have horrible allergies with smoke and I was miserable the whole day after we left because of staying in a room all night that reeked of smoke. It was a big room, the bed was comfy. I wasnt completely impressed with this hotel. I would think that when you are paying a pretty penny for one night you would get a little bit better service. I probably wont be recommending this hotel to anyone.

We had an enjoyable stay. The first day they did seem understaffed. There was only one man running the front desk. He did a ... fine enough job. We were there while major street construction was happening and it was directly outside our suite. The free breakfast was amazing and drinks in the evening were perfect.

All the hotel staff were very helpful and the service was great. The only downside was road construction out front that went ... late into the night. Of course there is nothing that the hotel could do about that. Also really great location relative to the Inner Harbor restaurants etc.

not honest about cost

Craig Jun 4, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

Upon arrival, I was told that I HAD to buy a $9.99 per day package that included internet, telephone discounts and some ... coupons for stuff that I don't even remember. I said I didn't need any of that so I'd like to decline. They insisted that it was mandatory! After several exchanges, I became a bit upset (but not rude), and said that they should have been honest about their price up front before the reservation, not change the price after arrival! Only then did the desk person back down and offer to "remove the charges."

The only issue we had was the housekeeping staff could not get things done correctly when it came to wash clothes. When we ... arrived there was none. On our last night we had one wash cloth. Great location short walk to inner harbor, staff terrific and all great with kids. Free drinks at happy hour and free ... breakfast a nice touch --with great harbor view. Pleasant place, friendly staff

Stephanie May 8, 2009

The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel itself is nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast is very nice, as ... is the internet access. The only downsides I would consider are 1) all floors but the 11th have a ceiling height of 6'1" and 2) it's a city hotel so you can't help but get some of the noise of the city. If you want a place that is convenient to the sights of Baltimore, and comfortable, this might be a good choice for you!

I went down for the weekend with my friends for the NFL draft. It was great. Two blocks away from Inner Harbor and not that ... far, aprox 5 to 7 blocks, from Camden Yards. We stayed at a different hotel further away last year to save on money, but spent it on taxi fairs. So staying here we saved money. No bar just alcohol you can buy down in the lobby. They also charge you an extra $10.00 for internet access in your room and a pass for pool and gym near the hotel. Computer with internet down in lobby.

Great family getaway

Lauren Apr 22, 2009

Would recommend to a friend!

All the staff was accomadating, polite, friendly, you name it. They were great. Located right in the inner harbour we were ... able to walk everything we were doing. The only time we needed are car was for the short 10 min drive to the zoo. The hotel was spotless and our room was great, very clean and spacious. Traveling with two boys can be challenging. The only downfall in this hotel was its breakfast. The view was pretty, located at the top of the hotel, you could see part of the Inner Harbour while eating. The food was pretty bad though. I understand that breakfast is included with your stay, so you don't really expect much, but two out of our three mornings our pancakes were literally hockey pucks. Could use lots of improvement. We still would go back anyday. Thank you to the staff that made my family's vacation more enjoyable.

Great Staff, Poor Facilities

Leeann Sep 1, 2008

My husband I returned to this hotel for a romantic weekend because he proposed at the property. The staff were very kind and ... helpful but the rooms were musty and smelled. The temperature control was also poor, we couln't cool the room down. The location is great because the harbor is within walking distance and the full breakfast was fabulous. Would recommend to a friend!

The staff was very helpful. Great location. Eventhough room service was provided by off site restaurants, the food was ... quite satisfying.

Shopping tip, Short Drive

The Gallery and Inner harbor shops are a block away. Worth a look, but nothing really wonderful here. Instead, take a ride to Fells Point and spend the morning or afternoon. Much beter shopping and lots of quaint little bistros and coffee shops.

Recreation/Attractions tip, Short Walk

If you are planning to take your car for touring I would valet your car with the hotel since you can take it in and out of the lot. If you don't plan on taking your car I would park it in a near by lot. It will be cheaper.
