Contemporary quarters shake up downtown’s cookie-cutter scene
As a member of the Preferred Hotel Group's Sterling Hotels -- a collection of independent, free-spirited properties -- the 97-room Brookshire Suites hotel puts a premium on character. A contemporary aesthetic persists throughout (purple couches in the lobby, a moon-and-stars carpet in the Cloud Club) and guests enjoy access to special perks and services that many other 3-star hotels leave out: free breakfast (and yes, it's hot).Highlights:
- Prime Inner Harbor location, steps from restaurants and shops
- Complimentary breakfast
- High-speed Internet access
Location
The Brookshire Suites hotel sits smack in the middle of downtown's bustling Inner Harbor district. Guests can walk to shops, restaurants, and a number of attractions (the USS Constellation, for example, is just a few blocks away).
Rooms
Don't let the hotel name fool you. The Brookshire Suites offers standard rooms in addition to suite-style accommodations. The executive suites feature a spacious living-room parlor with a sofa, oversized desk, and city views, and a separate bedroom.
Features
Every morning, the hotel puts out a hearty -- and completely free -- breakfast spread in the top-floor Cloud Club, a common space open to all guests with floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping Inner Harbor views. There is no full-service restaurant at the Brookshire Suites hotel, but dozens of eateries lie within steps of the front door, including Harborplace's Phillips Seafood and Babalu at Power Plant Live.

Very Nice Place
Very nice place. Would recommend it for families. Full Breakfast (included) was buffet style and had all the basics and extras. Very close to Inner Harbor and other attractions. Walking distance to the ball park. Our room was on the first floor and had low ceilings, probably due to renovations made over the years. So If you're over 6'2", you might want a different floor. Other floors appeared normal.

Business Trip Stay in Baltimore
Not a bad place. Good breakfast and nice ecological touch with the shampoos and soaps provided! I did not like that they changed me 9.95 per day extra for internet and other services, but I did use the services... I just think that these things should be included in the price as they were at all the other hotels on this past trip.

VERY VERY BAD
I decided to stay at this hotel with two of my friends because we were going to a concert a couple blocks away. i booked a 2 room suite with 2 double beds. i called the day before we left (since we were coming from out of state) and made sure everything was in order. i confirmed that i had 2 double beds and the staff said yes you are confirmed for 2 double beds. so once we finally get there the staff was rude and they just threw the keys to us. didn't tell us where our room was, didn't ask if we needed help with our bags, nothing. so we went up to our room and i saw we only had 1 queen bed. that will not work since we had 3 people. i went downstairs and was told that the COUCH was a pull out and that counts as a double bed. i said no i booked 2 double beds NOT a bed and a couch. the normal bed was comfortable and nice linens. the couch bed was VERY VERY uncomfortable and had gross linens. i tried to make the lady at the front desk understand my point but she didn't. she was very rude and didn't care. i paid for a room with 2 double beds and i confirmed that. all she said was they consider a pull out couch the same as the bed. it is completly not the same. i will NEVER stay there again and all my family and friends also know to NEVER stay there or any affiliated hotels as well. VERY RUDE AND NOT WHAT IS ADVERTISED!!!

Great Location
Arrived after midnight and was placed in a room facing an alley across from what appeared to be an abandoned building on the second floor. The room was a little noisy due to street noise with the romm being so low. Because of the lack of window light, the room was a little depressing. However, the hotel and more specifically, my room were clean, and the room itself very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent relative to other free hotel breakfast buffets. The room had free internet that worked well. It also had a nice television and a nicely appointed bathroom. I would go back but would prefer a room higher up. They still have the added-on $10 fee per night that apparently is unavoidable. I really think they should include that in their room rate, since it seems like a bate and switch type of proposition. Still all in all, the hotel was a good value and is located only a block away from the Inner Harbor and 3-4 blocks away from the Convention Center.

Worst hotel experience!
Went for a batchlorette party. Rooms were not ready til 4:30. Checkin was at 4. We had been there since 11 and they had our #for a possible wary checkin. People wer waiting in the lobby to get checked in and were not happy. One fily let there kids run crazy thinking it would speed them up. Then when we did get our rm, they gave us 1 bed and a small terribly uncomfortable sofabed for a 4 adult reservation. The room was stocked in everything 2 and They said there was no possibility of another rm cause they wer booked. The phones in the rm didn't work and we had to call guest services about 5 times to get everything we needed all within the first 2 hrs there. On top of it all they said they wer unable to refund any $ because I had booked the room through [...]!!

I stayed at the Brookshire for
I stayed at the Brookshire for 4 nights while attending a conference held at the Baltimore Convention Center. The room was large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was nice... a 5 minute walk to the Convention Center and close to tourist attractions, too. The staff was friendly. The $9.95/per night additional destination charge seems a little sketchy (although if you take advantage of the amenities that it covers, I suppose it's worth it: breakfast, a "happy hour" reception, shuttle service between affiliated hotels, etc...). It makes more sense to include it in the per night room rate. Overall, I had a nice experience there and would recommend the Brookshire to anyone staying in the Inner Harbor area.
