Convenient!!
Army Wife (Beat Navy) Dec 14, 2009
My husband is in the Army, on active duty, and I was in town visiting and to Christmas shop! Overall, the hotel was great! ... Super location, friendly staff, economical and the convenience of an on-site pub/eatery was very nice after a long day!! The only down side; the linens are outdated and cheap! The beds/mattresses need to be upgraded and have the old 'fake wool' type blankets! The coverlets are a type of creepy velour. They only provide you with two bath towels which are cheap and small sized! The shower curtain was very short which caused water to leak all over the bathroom floor. We would definately stay at The O'Callaghan again, but if we drive, I'll bring my own linens for the bed at the very least!!

The O'Callaghan Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland is an Irish beauty, plenty friendly and thoughtful to guests. It is close to ... downtown, provides good food, and has plenty of umbrellas on hand for rainy days. It has safes in the rooms and is computer friendly. It provides lovely cosmetic amenities.i highly recommend it for all travelers.

This hotel is in the perfect spot for walking downtown and much less expensive than the other two options. It was clean, had ... good food, and a super accomodating staff. We will definitely stay again. They also have a complimentary shuttle service.

Annapolis Power Boat Show
Alfton Oct 19, 2009
We used a[...] hint and parked about one block away and saved over half on parking. We parked the car on Friday and used the ... hotel shuttle to go to and from the boat show. Also used the hotel shuttle to go to and from dinner one night. We walked to dinner other nights. The O'Callaghan staff was always courteous and prompt. The continental breakfast was a fair price of $8 per person. The rooms were extremely clean and quiet.

Great location
nonie kay Oct 13, 2009
Small rooms, not cleaned as well as other places I have been. Had to pick up things off the floor that should not have been ... missed my cleaning service. Front desk was not overly friendly. Valet service was the best experience of this hote. Friendly, fast and very courteous. Breakfast was not consistant. One person serving, setting out food and busing tables. Always had to borrow tableward from another table. Had to wait for more food/beverages to be brought to the buffet. With such a small continental breakfast of coffee, juices, fruit and cold cereal, pastries for $8, you are better off walking a few blocks for the same amount of money for a better breakfast. With the cost of the room, that kind of breakfast should be included.

Nice hotel but not worth the price
John Sep 15, 2009
I just wanted to spend an evening in Annapolis and found the hotels to be expensive. I found a deal for this hotel on Orbtiz ... and got some of the price knocked off but it was still not worth the cost. It is a fine hotel with everything you want but thats about it. Its a normal average hotel. This is the best priced hotel in the area that i found with the deal from Orbits.

We arrived later than the norm and [...], the manager, checked us in, took our bags to the room and parked our car. He and ... all the employees that we interacted with were friendly and helpful. I have been a road warrior for over 20 years traveling on business and have stayed at more hotels in a year than most people stay in a lifetime. This hotel, although not swanky, was a value at the price charged.

NICE EXPERIENCE!
Annapolis Fan Jun 1, 2009
Go to Annapolis every couple of years for a get away weekend. Have often passed this hotel and wanted to try it. Glad we did. ... Friendly staff from the time we pulled up and gave car to valet parking. Friendly front desk, bartenders, etc. Weakest link--and it wouldn't deter me from returning--was the medioce Sunday morning buffet breakfast. Not bad, just nothing special. But...I've found this to be true of most hotels. Would return.

Wonderful hotel, terrific staff and great location.
Mark Dec 20, 2008
This was a total surprise. I was not even aware of this hotel until my internet search. Apparently it is part of a small ... Irish chain. The facilities in Annapolis were wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and convenient to all the premier points of interest in town. They even provide a shuttle service which we did not use and umbrellas for inclement weather. Parking is easy. The staff could not have been friendlier and the bar and dining options were lots of fun. There are both business and health club amenities I would recommend it in a flash (and already have) and look forward to returning there and to their other properties.

Our Hotel of Preference in Annapolis
Jonnie Aug 12, 2008
The O'Callaghan Annapolis Hotel is an excellent place to stay for Annapolis travelers who are looking for a quality hotel ... that is less costly than those by the water. This hotel is it!! The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable, and the staff members are all very friendly and eager to help in any way they can--one of them even drove me to a pharmacy to purchase a hot water bottle when my friend threw his back out. We very much enjoy the short walk to the waterfront and browsing in the varied shops along the way, but those who are not so inclined can ride the hotel shuttle back and forth to their local destinations up to 10:30 pm. Additionally, there are both casual and elegant dining options all around the hotel, which also offers its only bar and restaurant.
Traveler type: Couples
We enjoyed lunch at the Lemon Grass restaurant right across the street from the hotel and a late night glass of wine at Fado, a block or so down the street.
