Perfect trip to Annapolis

It is not an ordinary hotel. There is no staff there at night, and along with your room key you get a front door key. The location is great, and there is nothing cheaper for miles.

Stay in Annapolis

Not worth the price at all. Bathroom was rusty and needed renovation. The wood was rotting around the toilet area. I understand they were going for the "old Annapolis" look. But there are some parts of old Annapolis I would not like to relive. Such as poor plumbing, rotten wood and corrosion. It was very disappointing. Not worth the price. Too bad the price was nothing like it would have been in the old days.

No one there after hours

I arrived at 7:00 pm and no one was there to greet me. It took me 15 minutes to figure out my key had been left OUTSIDE in an envelope. I never received an email explaining what would happen if I arrived after 6:00pm... even though I sent an email telling them I would be late. My entire stay I never saw a soul...

Perfect location for a weekend Annapolis getaway!

A nice inn in a great location - looks onto the State House, while connected through a path to Main Street. Not the fanciest inn in town, but nice enough for a short stay.

Great location!

Right in the heart of downtown; close to everything! Nice view from window of Main Street & the water from the King George room on the 3rd floor. A few short steps to Main Street and all the shops and restaurants. Great breakfast at Chick & Ruth's.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Rams' Head Tavern (West Street) is one of the best venues in the region. Small, intimate, good sound and always a great crowd.

Nice Stay

Nice bed and breakfast type place, but without the breakfast unfortunately. Price was low, room was comfy, location was unbeatable. Word of warning -- while nice and quite all night, delivery trucks start out on the street about 6:30 in the morning.

Great location

Nice rooms. Excellent location near downtown shops, restaurants and historical sites. Beatuiful urban area. Parking is a bit of a problem, as on-street is metered all week and demand is high for the governmental offices nearby and other governmental agencies. Went up for a Friday night show at the Ram's Head Tavern, a great club with wide variety of acts 12 months of the year; top listening experience in the region.

Great Experience! Wonderful location!

This hotel greatly exceeded expectations. Each room is unique and none remind me of a typical hotel room. Got upgraded to a king bed with jacuzzi and incredible view of the Annapolis Harbor/Chesapeake Bay. The hotel restaurant, Piccola Roma, was one of the best experiences I have ever had. In the heart of downtown and close to the Naval Academy. Did not need my car.

Unprofessional, horrible expierence

We had a confirmed reservation, when we arrived at 5:30 pm we were informed she (blonde woman who runs the place) had given our room away to a walk in after we had made the reservation because they were planning to stay longer. We called orbitz who told here she was responsible for taking care of us, she was rude and refused to help at all saying maybe a nearby place had a room and maybe she could call. She had made no effort at all to contact either us or orbitz. I am a local and was apalled by the lack of service and professionalism turning away a couple with a confirmed reservation and not helping, even with me being visibly 6 months pregnant. There are many nice local places, Stay Away from this one!!

Charming B&B

The State House Inn was a charming Bed & breakfast. The room was a nice size with a very comfortable bed. The staff was friendly, helpful and curtious. It had an overall comfortable feeling. The location was great, just a block away from downtown shops and restaurants and the marina area. We will definatly stay there again when we visit the Annapolis area.
