Awesome location & staff
With only 24 hours in Annapolis, Loews was the best pick! Walking distance to sights & great area. Patrick at the front desk was outstanding! Told us where to go for dinner, made our reservation & got us a water view table and bought us dessert! Very fun, friendly experience.

Never again. Hotel is NOTHING like the photos
Having stayed at other locations of the Loews hotel brand, we were very excited to stay here. However, this Annapolis location is just awful. To start, the hotel is undergoing extensive renovations. The entrance is a mess. The check-in is essentially an understaffed podium in the middle of a construction zone. I could have overlooked that, except for this hotel bills itself and charges along the lines of a Luxury hotel. The problems began upon check-in. They checked me in, charged my credit card and THEN told me no rooms were available. We were not able to actually enter our hotel room until almost 5pm on a Saturday night. We had 5pm dinner reservations, so we ended up missing our reservations and ended up waiting over 2 hours to eat dinner because the town was so busy. There is absolutely no excuse to not have a hotel room ready by a 4pm check-in. Additionally, the front desk personnel was aloof and refused to even apologize for the room not being ready. They acted like I was out of line to expect the room to be ready at such a late hour in the day. Imagine how angry I was after having to wait an hour, miss our dinner reservation, and finally get into our room only to find that it was filthy. The hotel looks NOTHING like the pictures shown on the web site. The walls were very, very thin, you could hear everything in your room that was going on in the rooms on either side of you, the hallway AND the atrium area. It was closed-in and dark. The location is not nearly as nice as many of the other establishments in the area. Amenities at this hotel are non-existent..no pool, no spa. Very disappointing

What You Would Expect
The hotel was just average. We could hear the conversations taking place in the room next door and the condition of the room did not meet my expectations for a $300/night room. I kind of seems like they know your options are limited around Annapolis so they feel they can charge whatever they want and not keep the room conditions up to what you would expect from that expensive of a hotel. The staff was friendly though and there seemed to be a real emphasis on customer service.

Not worth the money
Didn't feel that I got my money's worth. Extremely overpriced! I've staid in hotels in Paris, Rome and London that were cheaper and nicer. Very small lobbey, loud and disorganized. Nothing out of ordinary, might as well stay at best western for quarter of the price.

They made up for it.
The hotel had everything going for it, however the guests were LOUD. They must have been partying on the town all night. When they got off the elevator they were very noisy bouncing off the walls down the hallway. I commented on that to the front desk the next morning. The attendant cut $25 dollars off my bill and gave us free breakfast passes. The breakfast was great, probably a $30 value. It made up for the noise!

Good Hotel
Hotel was very convenient to the areas of the city that we wanted to explore: the naval academy, uptown shopping and historic districts and restaurants. Hotel was very clean with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to others.

Good try, but would not return
The room was quite noisy. You could hear other guests and there was a noise like a dental drill that could be heard every 30 seconds or so. The staff was courteous. We were assigned an occupied room at check-in. The staff member was very apologetic and, later, sent a bottle of wine and a cheese platter to our room

great service, a little noisy
The desk, bell and room service staff was very polite and helpful. The dog policy was GREAT, I had two small dogs who felt right at home. Unfortunately, there was little league hockey tournament in town and the hotel was full of kids. The doors weren't well insulated enough to block the sound of feet marching down the hallways, loud voices and a slamming doors. The location is just outside the main active downtown area, not in the "heart of downtown" as the description suggests. There is a good shuttle that only take a few minutes to get into town center.
