the most squared-away city on earth...welcome to the Hampton Inn & Suites Annapolis.Say "Annapolis" to any sailor or naval officer and immediately the winding streets, graceful homes and historic charm of Maryland's capital city will come to mind. Few cities can hold a buoy to the area around the Hampton Inn & Suites® hotel in Annapolis. From the many phenomenal restaurants where you can indulge in our famous Maryland Blue Crabs to the town's long history, Annapolis is simply a world unto itself. St. John's College is a short distance away as well as the historic Maryland State House and City Dock, the city's dining, entertainment and shopping destination. They say the United States Navy runs on nuclear power, diesel fuel and coffee. But one look around our hotel in Annapolis, and you'll see that the U.S. Navy also keeps its highly polished image shipshape with the aspiring officers that come here to the United States Naval Academy. See the Academy's museum, visit the grave of John Paul Jones, watch the sailboats navigate the bay and hang out at some favorite Navy watering holes. Perfect place to stay

We booked a room with a king bed which would have been fine if the prior occupant hadn't violated the no smoking rule. As I have asthma this wasn't acceptable. We notified the front desk and were switched and upgraded to a suite. Staff is very helpful and great to deal with. Location of hotel is about 13 minutes from downtown Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy. Downtown Annapolis offers everything from quaint shops, to restaurants and taverns, to various events near the piers. Also, plenty of opportunities to take boat tours of the harbor and Chesapeake Bay.

Drive into Annapolis on a weekday. We went in on Mother's Day and found the parking garage and the lots near the pier full. Went back in on Monday and had a very easy drive with plenty of parking.

Enjoyable and Peaceful

The Hotel was very clean quiet. The surounding area was beautiful. Saturday I checked in after work did not have alot of time for activities, but I did do some shopping there is plenty restaurants and malls to choose from,no lacking that area at all. I got up early sunday morning had a free breakfast waffles, eggs, fresh fruits, yogurt and milk.Staff was friendly. I went for a hour walk came back had more fresh fruit. I Prepared for my for my work day. The first room I had the TV did not work and they quickly gave me a another room. This trip I only had lounging time so be prepared to pay for a good movie the free channels don't offer much. I would difinitely come back to this particular hotel its wonderful, OH!!!!! the absolute best part is that they provide a refrigerator and freezer in your room most hotels are so cheap they do not offer this precious commodity, this was fabulous added feature and I for one appreciate it. Thank You Hampton Inn Suites !!!!!

Just another hotel

We just stayed at the hotel after touring Annapolis and having dinner 1.5 miles from the hotel at Mike's Crab House. We did inform the front desk of the following conditions in the room: 1. Bathroom fan did not work. 2. Tub drain very clogged. Not great to be standing in water.. who knows whats in it! 3. The sink faucet leaked. 4. Ice machine on our floor did not work. Had to go to another floor for ice. Other than those things the stay was ok.

Disappointing.

The hotel had a new set of flat screen televisions installed but none of them worked properly and I didn't have television all weekend. I most wanted it to check the weather for the day and it was unavailable and disappointing.

Pleasant experience, great service

In town for a family reunion - Hampton Inn provided an excellent, affordable alternative to some of the boutique hotels near the water. Loved the free and ample parking, free wifi, and more than adequate breakfast. I would stay again!

USWS Meeting in Annapolis

Arrived at 11:00 pm to find four young women behind the desk, laughing and giggling. The group clearly included at least two, maybe three, "visitors. Continued to giggle among themselves throughout my check-in. Very obnoxious. But breakfast was great the next morning.
