The staff was great and welcoming. Gave us warm chocolate chip cookies with walnuts on a very cold rainy night. The room was ... very nice, clean and comfortable. In the morning we could hear everyone else up and running around. The location was wonderful with convenience to everything.

Non smoking means non smoking

We made reservations because we were in town to go to the Boat Show. They would not let us check in before the show, which ... was fine. But then we checked in after the show. When we walked into our room it smelled of smoke, so we carried our luggage all the way to the front desk to ask for the non smoking room that we had reserved and paid in full. No appologies given, nor an explanation. I felt that they were trying to save their non smoking rooms for important guests, not [...] guests.Very disappointing.

Made a reservation for a room with a king size bed. Instead I got a room with 2 doubles. Not sure where the disconnect was ... -- [...] Except for this error, it was a pleasant stay, so I would rate it at 4-stars, but I'll subtract one for the reservation error.

Get a map and study the streets/roads. Not very hard to do and you can actually find some roads less traveled and get to your destination quicker!

Overall, it was great. It is a great location and you have access to quite a bit of things and the streets/roads are not ... difficult to get around on, just do a little homework. It is a few miles from Historic Downtown Annapolis but in a way that was a "plus" because it is very crowded down there. Overall, great stay!

Don't be fooled by the Orbitz star rating -- this is a glorified motel. Maybe not even glorified. There are plenty of really ... pleasant hotels in the area that can be booked for about the same (or sometimes less). The Doubletree is a dump in a rotten area. Look at the Lowes or Westin first, and avoid this "hotel" at all costs.

Huge shopping center and resturants across the street. About 5-10 mins. walk. Downtown Annapolis was like 10 minutes away. It was really the perfect spot.

The hotel has everything you need...a very large pool, fitness center, upscale restaurant, snack bar, free shuttle service ... into Annapolis, great toiletries and an ATM.The staff was friendly and helpful. Not the best view, but who cares if you're just sleeping there. The beds were small for my two 6 foot plus teenage boys

"unbeatable location for the price"

The front desk staff gave my elderly mother help every time they saw us in the lobby and they helped us coordinate ... transportation to a nearby graduation ceremony we were attending. This extra help added to the enjoyment of our travel. My experience at this hotel was better than prior hotel experiences because the service was more individualized and was friendlier.

We booked this hotel for a night while in town for a wedding. The cookies upon check-in were DELICIOUS and the front desk ... was very accomodating at switching our smoking room to a non-smoking room. The room itself was spacious and very clean; the only thing lacking was a mini fridge, but no big deal. The hotel is also conveniently located to town center and the annapolis mall as well as other attraction in the area.

Doubletree provides very delicious cookies upon check-in, and the fruit infusion water in the lobby is exceptionally good. ... Hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood and easy access to city attractions. Late check-out option is available.

Location, location, location... This hotel is not in the heart of the harbor area but it was a good value for the cost. This ... recently remodeled hotel was nice, clean and comfortable. On the downside, it is not your typical Doubletree Hotel in terms of amenities. We found a problem with our door, which was not functioning properly but was typical of the doors down the hall. Front desk seemed to be working out some problems. At check-out time the computers were down with no idea when they would be working also the front desk failed to bring up or call us to notify us that the airline delivered our luggage, etc. But given the price we were satisified. If however we were paying a more normal range for a Doubletree/Marriott type hotel we would not have been happy.

the doubletree seemed to have a helpfull staff, and the shuttle service made up for it's distance from the citydock and other ... attractions. i would consider using it again when in that area.

Within walking distance is little strip mall with a Giant Food store, TJ Maxx, MensWearhouse, AT&T, Sprint, Famous Footwear, Payless Shoes, and lots of other stores for convient shopping. There are loads of restaurants to choose from for dining or just a quick bite for family or just for two.
