An easy and affordable launching pad for all things Annapolis

Just miles from the historic waterfront district, the Doubletree Hotel Annapolis' convenient location makes it easy for guests to access major attractions (U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland State Capital) and a dizzying array of shops and restaurants (choose from more than 80 eateries within a five-mile radius). Other notable mentions include an outdoor Olympic-size pool (seasonal), free local shuttle service, quality Precor fitness equipment and one killer cream-of-crab soup -- be sure to check out the on-site Ports of Call Restaurant and Lounge.

Highlights
  • Conveniently located three miles from the U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland State Capital and Annapolis' historic waterfront district
  • Free local shuttle service to points within a five-mile radius
  • On-site fitness center features Precor equipment
  • Free Wi-Fi in all rooms
  • Outdoor Olympic-sized pool and sundeck (seasonal)
Location

The Doubletree Hotel Annapolis sits right off Route 50, between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. The U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland State Capital and historic Annapolis waterfront district all are within three miles of the hotel, and guests walk to the shops and restaurants of Annapolis Town Center.

Rooms

All rooms and suites of the Doubletree Hotel Annapolis were renovated in 2006 and the work especially shows in the bathrooms, which come with granite-topped counters and cherry vanities. Free Wi-Fi and a cheerful color scheme persist throughout -- think light walls and linens and crisp red throws.

Features

The Doubletree Hotel Annapolis boasts the largest swimming pool in town. Guests access the Olympic-sized pool and its spacious sundeck during the warmer months. The on-site fitness center offers quality Precor equipment, free weights and yoga.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the hotel's on-site restaurant Ports of Call serves an upscale menu (think fresh seafood and steak) in a casual setting. Its "By the Glass" wine menu -- Annapolis's first -- boasts more than 100 vintages.

Great Place to Stay in Annapolis, MD

The location of this hotel is nearly perfect. It is close to the mall, town center, and only a 10 minute drive to downtown Annapolis. The cookies at check in are a great way to start your stay. The rooms have everything you need including a mini fridge, microwave, and a great TV. There is plenty of parking.

Good location, Great service

We were visiting Annapolis for a quick weekend getaway. Double Tree was in a great location, opposite the towne center mall, quick highway access to the waterfront main street. I was impressed by the service when I needed a refridgerator to store my take out food and I got one installed in my room in 10 minutes. They even provided a crib for my eight month old.

Not good

Got horrifying food poisoning the first night I was there from the hotel's food. The second night I had to be moved at 1am because of a huge group of teenagers on my floor being incredibly loud. Their group of chaperones were in the lobby getting drunk with actual entire bottles of wine in the lobby. This was all on a week night when the hotel was sponsoring my exam the next morning at 7:45am. I wish I had just did the commute instead. To be fair the positives were comfortable bedding and the Towne Center right across the street is very nice. The hotel took the food that sickened me off the bill and gave me a free breakfast buffet after the switching of the rooms at 1am.

Check your room conf. before you go.

Great location, easy to find. New Towne Center across the street. Biggest disappointment was that I went for a weekend getaway with my hubby, reserved a KING size room - got two doubles and - too bad, "we have no more king beds." Thought a reservation was just that - reserved for us so won't give away!

Pet Friendly Hotel Not for Everyone

[...] we were not aware this is a "pet friendly" hotel. Checked in on 2nd level and told our room was on the 1st fl. As we walked down our hall, we could hear dogs barking. We asked to be moved where pets had not slept in the beds (as I am allergic to pet dander) and were told the hotel was full. [...]
