Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD

We stayed at this hotel before visiting UMass. The staff was friendly and the room clean and well appointed. The walls were kind of thin because we could hear everything that was going on next door. The only thing I was disappointed in was the breakfast. I don' expect much from a discount hotel but their selection and quality was far worse than even Super 8, Comfort Inn, and LaQuinta. We paid $119 for the room and I expected better for that. Also, regarding the price, the hotel was not really convenient to the university (or anything else) so I was surprised that it cost so much. But, for a decent night sleep in a clean room, it works.

Our second time here in 5 years for a family visit. The staff is very welcoming & helpful, our king-bedded room spacious & comfortable, though we missed having a mini-fridge. We had one almost-problem---we live on the West Coast, and with the time change, didn't wake up until 9:15 a.m. The hotel information book said breakfast was served until 10:30, but when we got to the eating area close to 10 a.m., it was closed down. We found out the hours had recently changed to 9:30 a.m. closing. The desk clerk apologized and arranged for us to have a breakfast from the non-cooked choices. The other guests must have been informed, since the eating area was empty... A note about the change placed in both the room and near the dining area would have avoided the problem. The complimentary breakfast is better and more comprehensive than the usual fare for this level accommodation.

Less than great experience. Extremely long time to check in. One person at the desk taking phone reservations and trying to check people in. The hotel is new, but the walls and floors are wafer thin, can hear the people in the next room talking on their phone. Person above me sounded like they must have weighed 500lbs. I was 2 rooms away from the elevator, but can hear it every time it went up and down. This hotel has poor sound insulation. Business computer room - Both PCs were loaded with malware and obviously user installed items such as toolbars. I could not print a boarding pass because it would time out. The two people ahead of me were quite apparently not doing business, as one was on Facebook. Management needs to clean this up and allow it only for business purposes and not for unlimited web browsing. Terrible location for any type of Restaurant, and hard to get in and out of traffic. Cable TV selection was very limited to less than 40 channels. Breakfast was above expectations. Bed was very comfortable. The choices for lodging in this area is very limited.

This hotel is located right at the exit from the Mass Pike in Westfield. Easy to find. Breakfast was good, if you want something more extensive, Friendly's if a short walk. The hotel is almost brand new and 100% non-smoking and no pets. We stayed two nights and had no problems or complaints.

We only stayed 1 night, but we were very pleased with the accomodations. The hotel was very clean, quiet and the service was excellent. The breakfast buffet was perfect as well.

The experience was great, it was my first time making my wn arrangements at a hotel. It was very comfortble, and the heated pool ws awesome. The staff was helpful, nd the only problem was out of their hands, because the card door opening system wasn't working correctly. Other thn that we (my friend and I) Enjoyed a great stay and restful sleep. My friend keeps excliming bout how much they enjoyed the trip, and so do I. Not the perfect hotel but very close.

The hotel is new, and in great condition. The rooms are spacious. My next-door neighbors were quite loud, and I could hear everything they said.

We took our kids to six flags for the weekend. the hotel was nice and the staff was excellent.. speedy check in and check out... we had a few requests and they helped us right away. the hotel was a few miles from the park, so it was real quiet, so that was nice. the only thing that i did not like was the pool. real small and no hot tub. if other guests were there it would not be a enjoyable swim.
