American Host Motel

It was actually pretty nice. The price was extremely affordable for what you got. I would recommend to anyone on a budget.

Small pool we never used. Friendly staff.

Hotel is at a good location. However, the rooms are smelly. Bath room is very small. Bring your own shampoo and cream. No coffee machine in the room. You get coffee in the morning after 7.40 am. Not drinkable though. Disappointed. It is a dollar place.. TV in the room is good.

We did not get to the hotel till 8:15 PM and the pool area closes at 9:00 PM, not impressed. I am a tea drinker and had to use the microwave in the lobby for making it, it kept shutting off, was plugged into a strip with too many things plugged into it! Bathroom was very small, not enough electical outlets to recharge phones in room that worked. Had to ask for a second pillow. Place is old and could use a major update. Beds were passable.

Good hotel for the price. Cheapest in Yarmouth. Breakfast in morning was nice. Staff willing to help. Would stay again.

Not as advertised - not all that clean - stained bed comforter, floor rug not vaccummed, mildew on shower curtain. But my major complaint is while getting ready to go to a charity golf tournament early morning in the middle of drying my hair we lost electric to the room. No one was in the office and no one answered the phone - there was no way for us to contact anyone - and I am sure that it was just a circuit that tripped but no one was available. We gathered our belongs and left angry - I would NOT stay for the second night. Later while contacting Orbitz they put me on a conference call with the person at the desk - trying to tell my story he kept interrupting me and really not listening to me. He went so far as to call me a LIAR! DO NOT stay here very, very RUDE! I will be telling anyone who will listen the same - Cape Point Hotel further down the street was WAY better and very accomodating.

Room was dirty, had many spiders throughout the room. Had a 2 inch dirt line all around the room and carpet had not been cleaned. When you walked on the carpet dust would come up and when you wore white socks the bottoms would be black.

The room has a funny smell which did not go away. Friendly staff offered another room, with same smell and closer to the street. We refused. Also it was an overpriced deal.

I was satisfied to pay around 50-60% less than surrounding hotels (which did not offer wireless Internet) at this motel. I was there for business and I got what I needed: clean room, comfortable bed, hot water, reliable wireless Internet, 5 miles away from my target. Probably room was smaller for average American expectations; no problem for me. Remodeled bathroom. It had been 2 weeks since the motel opened for high season in Cape Cod, so swimming pool nor breakfast were operational yet. Small disadvantages: no ironing capability, no shampoo bottles.

The sheets in the hotel were stained. The comforter was very stained. The bathroom soap supplied was the size of a walnut. and not that thick. The staff was courteous and quick to give us our room. No remote even though he said he would bring it. No coffee until 930 and by than we were hungry and went out to breakfast. The place desperately needs a renovation. It was just not a place I felt I could rest my head and be comfortable in. I checked for bed bugs as the condition of the room made me look for them. Rugs were not cleaned properly either I would not recommend this hotel at all.
