Regency Inn & Suites - MA

Across street from Big-E grounds. Convenient to everything. I travelled alone to attend Equine Affaire Nov 2010. Room was clean and secure. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definately not a 4-star property but a great value - perfect if you just need a place to sleep while you visit the area. I plan on staying there in the future to attend Equine Affaire.

We booked this hotel because we were in West Springfield for a horse show at the The Big E and they are very close. The hotel also advertised an indoor pool and continental breakfast. The pool is empty and delapidated and each room has sliding doors(which didn't lock, we had to wedge a chair in the door) overlooking this sad sight with caution tape across each one-how cozy and our kids were extremely disappointed. They were looking forward to cooling off after a hot day with the horses and found a moldy room with big hole with an old coffee cup at the bottom of it! We had no remote for the tv, asked the receptiontist and she said "oh, its here in a bag and says lobby on it for some reason". I think we had the only remote in the entire hotel. The continental breakfast was completely gone after two families of 4 ate-and a few members didn't eat much at all as the waffle maker wasn't working properly. I will say the shower was great! If we had to stay more than one night we would have been out of there in a heartbeat!!!! I did call a Days Inn where we have stayed in the past, but decided to tough it out since it was only one night. Please make people aware that there is NO pool and this hotel and it is NOT family friendly! Please, please spread the word! Thank you!!

The hotel is owned and operated by an extremely nice Indian or Pakistani family who were more than helpful and met all my needs. The hotel has seen its better days but i saw no evidence of filth or bugs. I'm not a picky traveler and can understand if someone doesn't care for the place, but for the money, it was fine. The location was quiet and easily accessible to my destination. I plan to stay there again next year.

We went to a event at the Expo. We made reservations for two nights. I wish I had not made them at all. The room was very outdated, dirty and there were cockroaches. We had a room near the stairs and it sounded like there was a bowling tournement going on over our heads all night long. I was under the impression that this hotel was one of the better quality hotels. Boy was I wrong. Never again.

The hotel has been improved since last year. You get what you pay for. Good size rooms. It is older as can be seen in the faucets etc on the sinks but plenty of hot water. Things are cleaner than before. Room service came each day. Pool is up and running and nice. Limited breakfast but good enough. You won't find a closer hotel to the Big E.There are bars, places to eat, supermarkets and liqour close by. Good place for the price. If you want better and fancier then you will have to pay more and be in the city or north on riverdale st. College fridge and microwave in the rooms worked, tv worked. ac was on by accident but corrected. Was worth the money...

The rooms are not that clean, Its a old hotel.

The the check in was easy, the rooms were good sized but very old and run down. The whole place just didn't feel clean. The TV in our room had one channel. Just one. And of all the channels, it was Lifetime. AUGH. Anyways, the breakfast was pretty good. The location of the hotel (across the street from the Big E) is great, but the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is rather sketchy.
