Great stay for a great value

Understanding it's not a 4 star hotel - it couldn't have been nicer. Room very clean and well appointed. Great electric to plug in anywhere in the room (so nice). Microwave to heat water for tea in the evening - lovely (bring your own tea bags). Comfy sofa to sit on and work. If the finishes were better quality I would say it would be absolutely on par with a 4 star hotel - but for 1/3 of the price I can live with wood veneers for an evening!

For the money this place was a ripoff

First, I'm baffled that other reviewers said for the money it was a great deal. Um, NO. My room was $190 for your basic tired room. Had I stayed at a Motel 6 and paid $80 for the night I would have no complaints, but for $200 it was terrible. 1. No laundry bag for me to separate my dirty linens from clean. This was a problem because I wasn't going home after this hotel. 2. The bathroom was very small. 3. The alarm clock was unplugged and whatever was wrong with the outlet prevented me from plugging it in. 4. The room in general was "tired" and worn out. 5. The other guests. I have a news flash for everybody. it is NOT ok to walk around the hotel in your pajamas. It's fine if your 10 year old is, but it's not pleasant to goto breakfast and have a third of the adults still in their pjs. 6. There are other far better hotels in the area around the same price that are MUCH better. I actually moved to another hotel and am writing this review from there. The price difference was $10 and the differences couldn't be more glaring. Again, it's about expectations. For $200 a night and where it's located, it was NOT a nice hotel. I expect more if they are going to charge those kinds of rates.

Weekend in Boston

The room was very clean and comfortable, except for the couch. It was perfect for us because we only planned on sleeping in the hotel and spending most of our time in Boston. Staff wasn't very helpful when it came to asking for directions. Location was great...close to Boston, yet affordable.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

If going into Boston DO NOT take a taxi! It's only 10 miles away, but it will cost you $70! Drive to the T station in Waltham and take the train.

Great location for cheap!

I had the pleasure to meet 4 different staff while I was there with my family. All 4 of the staff was amazingly nice, courteous, professional & overall helpful with whatever my family needed. The location was right off the highway to have easy access to just about anywhere you want to go whether it's retail therapy for mom, tourist attraction for the kids, activities for grandpa or family dinner. I would highly recommend to all my friends, neighbors, family and strangers looking for a hotel in the surrounding Boston area for low cost. Which was extremely important when traveling with a family of 5. The bonus when I look for hotel for my family are the amenities must have: indoor swimming pool, fitness center AND continental breakfast.

Good basic inexpensive hotel

Best Western TLC provides an inexpensive, reliable and safe hotel stay. I especially appreciated the large comfortable room, free internet access in all rooms, and the ample free breakfast buffet. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and dependable. Not to mention very convenient: right off Rte 95, and centrally located, in the suburban Boston area.

ahhh

We saw all the sights in Boston! Great trip! The hotel was so-so. Toilet didnt work every time...towels were ripped...our floor had an odor one night...breakfast line was long, and nothing special... There was a great seafood restaurant next door to the hotel.

Average

Okay for family travel but the customer service was greatly lacking. Asked for an extra pillow for the pull out couch and it never came. Front desk was okay but not warm or inviting. Our room was a good size for our needs. Clean when we arrived although the housekeeping didntvdo the best job the 2nd day we were there. Overall it was a good place to stay for that price near Boston.

Didn't get what we booked

The hotel was easy to find, and clean. But we had booked a room with a king bed, and they did not have a king for us. We had to settle for a queen. I know that's not the end of the world, but we really enjoy king beds when we travel, and look forward to it. We were very disappointed, and angry that they would not give us what our reservation clearly specified.

Nice,clean and easy

Very good hotel for the money. Quiet and clean, spacious room. Could use more TV channels (and why is EVERY hotel room remote control lousy?), microwave would be nice too, but those are small nitpicks. Has a nice view of Boston too, I would stay here again.
