Great value. Good breakfast. Beautiful setting.

While the decor and appearance may be very "Motel", simple and bare bones, everything was clean and well maintained. It is one of the few places to stay that has a major size pool and beachfront location. It may be a long walk to the center of town, but it is next door to one of the best restaurants in PTown (The Red Inn). What you save on room rates allows you to stay twice as long in PTown and afffort the great restaurants.

Excellent Stay

Old Hotel, but well kept. Rooms were clean, and stayed that way while we were there for 3 nights in July, 2011. Downtown starts about 500 yards from the INN. Good restaurants within 1/2 mile. Shops and stores equally close. Only thing missing was a restaurant within the Inn. We will be back soon. Pool and beach right outside the door.

Perfect Location....quirky but clean!

Good continental breakfast, GREAT location. It's an older resort....built in the 1930s I believe, so if thats not your thing, then skip it. There are murals on the hallways depicting life in old provincetown, glass doorknobs, not your average chain hotel. But if you can handle an aging property, it is a GREAT location, the staff is SUPER friendly, and the free continental breakfast was pretty good for free!

Mayflower Family restaurant has the BEST steamers..... The Lobster pot has a view (and a higher price tag), but the Mayflower restaurant across the street is good food, good prices, good staff!

Definitely a room with a view

Hotel staff was less then courteous during check in however the room location was great. At the end of Commercial St, the only thing you could see was the harbor and ocean. The beach was clean, water amazing, pool time fun. For location and season, good value.

Nightlife tip: Long walk from hotel

It is a good walk in to town which has its plusses and minuses however benefit of a town wide shuttle for $2.00 each way.

Aging Lady of the Sea

Upon arrival we were perplexed as to what we would find in our hotel room. From the outside and the hallways this hotel looks as though it may have seen it's heyday in the 60's and 70's. That said it was a great location, just far enough out of the fray of P-town, with a stellar view of the tip of Cape Cod right in front of our window. There was quite a bit of activity throughout the weekend, but the hotel was quiet at night. The walk into town was about a mile and a half, great if you are a walker because the far end of Commercial Street is about three miles, then you have to walk home. I would recommend bikes or a cab at the end of the evening. Our room was freshly painted and the king sized bed was very comfortable. If you are not expecting the Ritz, then you could get by here on the view alone. We would definitely return.

Fabulous Getaway

The lady at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. After 2 nights, when I told her that I was going to check out but might be back if the buses weren't running (due to the blizzard), she went to great lengths to help me figure out whether the buses were running or not.

Farland has gluten free bread to make sandwiches with (as an option when ordering a sandwich) and they have great gluten free baked goods. The Squealing Pig has amazing food too, and has gluten free options that are great. Their original balsamic vinegar dressing is so good.
