Beautiful Place to Stay

This is a wonderful location in P-Town... Easy walk to all of the attractions down in the Town, and close driving distance to Race Point and other beaches. My only regret is that I only stayed one night!!! I was worried due to some poor comments I've heard about the P-Town Inn, but these negatives proved to be totally out of context when you consider the age of the fine "Lady" and that she is vertually on the ocean!! I will be going back, but this time for several days. It is a wonderful place to stay...

Aging Lady of the Sea

Upon arrival we were perplexed as to what we would find in our hotel room. From the outside and the hallways this hotel looks as though it may have seen it's heyday in the 60's and 70's. That said it was a great location, just far enough out of the fray of P-town, with a stellar view of the tip of Cape Cod right in front of our window. There was quite a bit of activity throughout the weekend, but the hotel was quiet at night. The walk into town was about a mile and a half, great if you are a walker because the far end of Commercial Street is about three miles, then you have to walk home. I would recommend bikes or a cab at the end of the evening. Our room was freshly painted and the king sized bed was very comfortable. If you are not expecting the Ritz, then you could get by here on the view alone. We would definitely return.

run-down and overpriced

Stay dates: August 2011 Pros:nice ocean view from the water view room, swimming pool (outdoor), balcony or a patio in many rooms (maybe in all rooms) Cons: rundown - everything is very old; unpainted walls in the corridor, bathroom door that doesn't lock, plastic bathtub refinishing (moves under your feet); very thing walls - can hear every word that is being said in another room or in the corridor; very weak/unusable wireless signal in some rooms; really overpriced for what it has to offer Other: 20 min walk to the center - a nice walk; basic breakfast is included

Excellent Stay

Old Hotel, but well kept. Rooms were clean, and stayed that way while we were there for 3 nights in July, 2011. Downtown starts about 500 yards from the INN. Good restaurants within 1/2 mile. Shops and stores equally close. Only thing missing was a restaurant within the Inn. We will be back soon. Pool and beach right outside the door.

Unbeatable location, good price

Check in was at 3 pm but rooms were not ready, we finely got our room about 3:20. Next door occupants were two loud males who would return to their room between 1 am and 2:30 am and were so loud that they woke up everyone in the surrounding rooms. Someone ran around at night and knocked on the room door after midnight. As to rooms they were clean and nice. Room service was poor. we had one coffee cup the first night and none the 2nd. Staff that we spoke too were outstanding. We enjoyed our stay and will probably stay again, notwithstanding the problems.

ok but.....

on arriving early the desk clerk was very nice and we were able to check in early. don't forget it was off season. resturant wasn't open but lots of places to eat nearby. no hair dryers in rooms. the room was clean but old.could stand alot of updating. went to lounge and found if your not one of the regulars at bar you weren't going to get service. price was right but i don't think i'll go back.
