Scenic Provincetown hotel on 10 lush seaside acres

The Chateau Provincetown, formally known as the Best Western Chateau in Massachusetts, sits on 10 lush acres in the West End of Provincetown, a peaceful setting with stunning ocean views, just outside the lively activities of historic Provincetown. Guests can walk down Commercial Street and visit the shops, restaurants, galleries and boutiques of P-Town or they can explore the outdoors by biking or walking the miles of beaches and sand dunes. The hotel offers spacious rooms with classic Cape Cod decor and scenic views of the beach or gardens.

Highlights

Nice hotel

Room was huge with two double beds. About a 10-15 minute walk to town, depending how far down the strip you want to go. Not too far though, good exercise if you're going to bars and restaurants your entire stay. Haha.

Chateau Provincetown

I've stayed at a few places in Provincetown, and unfortunately no matter where you stay, it is expensive. I chose Chateau Provincetown only for the 2 double beds to fit more people in the room. It was a decent place to stay, rooms were clean, and check-in and check-out were painless. The pros were: small fridge for leftovers, and quiet nights. The cons: Golden Girl decor, and a 10 minute walk to commercial street. All in all I wouldn't mind staying here again.

Surprisingly pleased

There was a little misunderstanding at check in time which caused us to change our reservation as to the length that we stayed at this hotel. In the end we wished we would have stayed the entire time here. It was very clean and well taken care of. Very nice and would stay here again.

okay but disappointed by the service

we want to borrow restroom after checkout, they don't let us use any of the facility and direct us to go next door?! we were the guest here last night!! just simply unbelievable we went next door to foxburry inn, and despite our awkward appearance, the host open up a room for us and let us use the bathroom there! How nice, he has to go clean it again afterwards..!

Unbeatable location; great price, quiet,

It was everything that we expected and more, from the greeting when we walked in, to the pleasant staff greetings every day. The room was surprising- ly large and pleasant, I only wish that that the pool could have been opened much later in the evening for a dip before going to bed. Directions to the motel made it easy to find.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Check the prices, and try the amazing variety of restaurants available. We particularly like "The Mayflower" and "Vorelli's".

Nightlife tip: Long walk from hotel

The hotel is a bit away from the main area of town. So make sure you have a car, otherwise it is a long walk. Also, bars and clubs close earlier here, at 1 AM, so get out a little earlier than normal.
