Not as advertised
Checked in after 2 mile walk, not one mile as advertised, to a motel that had wallpaper coming off the walls, rusted metal inside and out, and an odor that air freshener could never take care of. If we wanted to leave we would have lost one night ($100.00) payment. They did move us to a little more up-dated unit, that was cleaner I wouldnt classify it as "deluxe water-view rooms"

A Very Pleasant Weekend
The Cape Inn was a nice place to sleep after walking around fabulous P-town and after enjoying the greatest whale watch ever. I recommend a room with a water view. Cape Cod Bay is a wonderful sight to wake up to.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay
This was my first stay and I would definitely reccomend the Cape Inn resort to anyone. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful, the rooms were spotless, it was across from the water so the location was great and just a mile from the center of town so it was quiet and peaceful. The lounge showed the movie "State of Play" with Russel Crowe & Ben Affleck. It was very good and I was amazed it was free, as was the popcorn !!They have high speed connections in the lobby where the continental breakfast is. I really enjoyed myself and am looking forward to the next time I can visit.I am from North Carolina & we have wonderful beaches but Cape Cod is one of those places you just miss and want to go back to. I love P-town with all the shops and wonderful restaurants. One neat thing I did was to go on a whale watch and saw about 20 of them. Some were so close you could almost touch them if you leaned over the boat. One even jumped straight up in the air. One other noteworthy thing that made the trip so special was the 7 day permit I got to drive on the beach. What a thrill being out there with nobody around.....just you and nature....a treat I won't soon forget.Another good thing to know for getting around in Provincetown is for $5, a taxi will take you anywhere in town and they are there very shortly after you call. The hotel shows a free movie each week, popcorn is free or you can just sit in the Whaler's lounge and have a quick burger or pizza.

a dump
old, ugly, carpeting and furnishings date from circa 1971, too far from town if you don't have a car.

Very Pleasant Stay
The staff was very responsive and courteous. The only downside is that it's a lonnnng walk into town. But, the cabs arrived quickly and the walk wasn't so bad after dinner.
