Card Key Programming Problems
Got there right at about the 3 pm check in time on a Saturday for a one night stay. It did not go smoothly, requiring three trips back to the office from our room at the opposite end of the complex. The reason being is that the card keys provided at the front desk were not opening the doors to the room. Even the staff keys were not working. They first switched me to another room and gave me another reprogrammed card key, which also didn't work. This room location was not satisfactory, as it was buried in a corner next to a service/janitorial room and it had no view except into a wall leading to the janitorial room. I returned to the desk a second time, told the clerk the card keysdid not work and requested another room location. They did accomodate me and gave me a another key to a room nearby. The keys to his room did not work either, prompting me to locate a management person who let us into our room and eventually straightened out the card key issue. She apologized and told us that their coding device had been set with the wrong date, causing the keys not to work. I chalked that up to a newer employee or a training issue. My wife and daughter complained to me about finding a few ants in our room. I found the room air conditioner did not cool the room well or respond to changes in the control settings. The window screen was missing on the ground level rear window and the windows were all unlocked when we entered the room. That caused me concerns about security, as anyone could have let themselves in through the rear window if I didn't notice this. The beds were comfortable. The self serve breakfast area was a nice touch. I never got to check out the indoor pool area.

No frills but clean and comfortable
I stay here often because the staff is always smalltown friendly who always offer an amenity on some sort - sometimes a bigger room. Not the Ritz, but serviceable and Northampton is not NYC.

A place to sleep
I've stayed in hotels in worse condition, but not many. While the staff was super nice and the room served its purpose of a place to sleep, I can't recommend it unless you are pretty easy to please. Looks like it has been in need of a renovation for at least 15 years. peeling wallpaper, moth eaten curtains, and 'stains' on the ceiling made it not exactly high end. I've stayed in some dives while traveling, and while this place isn't dangerous or disgusting, it's seen better days.

Middle of the road
This was a bit overpriced for the amenities offered. The room was a good size and clean, but obviously older. The staff was friendly, but different shifts did not communicate well with each other (we asked for a late checkout several times and were assured it was no problem, only to have the phone ring from the front desk telling us we should have left already.) I wouldn't stay there again unless I got a discount. It was, however, a short walking distance to downtown.

Quality Inn & Suites Northampton
We stayed here for one night, just for a little romantic getaway. We spent the day walking around town and also got a couple's massage at Paradise Spa. At night, we walked back into town for dinner...my only complaint was that I didn't feel entirely safe walking back to the room after dinner. I wish the hotel were a bit closer to the shops and restaurants.

LOVED dinner at the Northampton Brewery! It was a short walk from the hotel, on a nice warm night, and we ate outside on the roof of the restaurant. Highly recommended!

It served the purpose.
No elevator and my husband has a problem with stairs but were lucky there was a room available on ground level so the staff was accommodating to switch us. The location was just a few minutes by car, to far to walk, to the center of Northampton and easy to find off highway. We were just there for one night to see a concert in town so the room was fine and didn't see the pool or gym. The bed and pillows (I have a thing for pillows) were very comfortable and the room was clean and that's the most important thing. But the quality of the room for a Quality Inn had gotten up and left a long time ago and needs to be updated for the price we paid... that is what bothers me the most!!

Entertainment tip:
Short drive from hotel
There are only 2 levels but if you have a problem with stairs make sure you request a ground floor since there isn't an elevator, rooms are access from parking space.

So overpriced - stay somewhere else
This isn't a hotel, but rather a motel, and it charges more than double what I would consider a fair price for what you get. It's under a mile to the center of Northampton, but Northampton has so many cheap parking lots that you could stay a little further away for less and just drive into town. I'd rather stay at an Econolodge for half the price. The front desk staff was pretty unfriendly and unhelpful, but breakfast was okay. Our bathroom was tiny and smelled faintly of urine. The main room smelled overwhelmingly of cleaning products. I wouldn't stay here again.
