Nice Value

My daughters and I stayed here for three nights during February school vacation. I found the Inn via their excellent and accurate website. Liam and Jennifer were completely accommodating to us from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. They put us in a nice-sized two queen-bed room. Both the room and the bath had recently been updated nicely with a flat screen tv, refrigerator, microwave, brand new matresses and bedding. The location of the Inn is fantastic being one block away from Main St. Having the included breakfast poolside was a bonus. I could finish my breakfast and sip on my tea as the girls enjoyed the pool. I loved the spacious spa. We unfortunately had a very noisy large group staying at the Inn at the same time. Our sleep was compromised due to them. Liam responded to our needs when we asked for his help. Being sure that a large group will not be staying there at the same time, we will happily stay here again!

Great family Getaway

We stayed in the building directly across from office, so our balcony which was relaxing allowed us to see the comings and goings of street. The weather was perfect and the breeze coming into room was refreshing. The room was clean and the linens also were clean. The bathroom was very nice, clean but I would have liked the usual shampoo and conditioner travel size you normally get at hotels. I did not ask the office if they provided that but perhaps they do. The location is very much local to the variety of restaurants. We ate dinner at Spankys and enjoyed the outdoor patio..by the water. We walked along the streets afterwards and stopped at an ice cream shop. The next morn. we enjoyed breakfast poolside included in our stay.

Travel Inn, Cape Cod

Mattresses were old and flat, as were pillows, which I had to replace twice as faint odor. Limited front desk coverage/hours. No room service. No coffee or toiletries in rooms. VERY pared down BUT a great breakfast and coffee, which makes up for much of the other shortcomings.

"Fine for the Price"

The hotel was fine, but fairly old. The rooms were clean, but a little run-down. Some of the standard ammenities from a hotel were missing; for example, there was no shampoo/conditioner provided in the rooms and the vending machine did not work. The rugs in the hallway were also quite wet from kids running out of the pool. I could hear people walking in the halls and the room above me all night. I needed to check out early because I had a business meeting, so I went to the office at 7:15 and the door was open, but when I entered a cleaning lady told me that I was not allowed in there and came over to lock the door. A few minutes later a woman came to the front desk but would not let me in. When I explained I needed to check out she told me to just leave the keys outside the office, which I did but it made me a little nervous. Clearly this hotel is not designed for business travelers that have early responsibilities. The location was very convenient though and for the price it did give me a clean room to stay for the night.

Blood and other stains on bedspread

The hotel was not clean. There were blood stains and another big yellow stain on the bedspread when we pulled it back to go to sleep. There were also crumbs on the sheets. The floor felt very dirty. I literally jumped in the shower to wash my feet after walking on the rug with bare feet. The entire night, we wore sandals when we had to get up to go to the bathroom. I am not fussy, I camp with bugs in the tent, etc. In fact, I would have rather camped than to have stayed in this hotel. It was one of those deals where you sleep on your back with your arms folded across your chest so as not to touch anything. Very scuzzy, I recommend not staying here.

Nothing fancy

Hotel is centrally located and rooms were adequately clean. There were a number of children staying at the hotel and were both seen and heard running in the halls. The management staff also appears to be the housekeeping staff. When we arrived there were no towels in the room. We asked at the desk and were told the towels would be sent to our room. When we returned from dinner the towels were indeed in the room (1 washcloth, 1 hand towl and 2 bath towels for 2 people) as was the delivery person's melted ice cream container from Friendly's. Overall the hotel could use a little TLC and attention to details for some significant improvements for little cost.

There is an English pub on the Main street of Hyannis that provided a terrific meal and live entertainment most evenings.
