Great get away with or without kids

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly and very accomadating. Loved the pools, there are several, the game room, the restaurants and bars. The gift shop is no where near as expensive as one would expect. I went with a fellow grandmother to "check it out" and I know I would like to take the kids there. I never left the resort because I didn't need to. The downfall was that I couldn't cook in the room and when you go with 6 or 7 kids you definately want to cook even on an outdoor grill. The good news was they upgraded me before I got there and I had a fridge in my room. What a savings for snack, etc. Don't miss the Thursday wine tasting!! The chef's little "tastes" were absolutely delicious and the wine and presentation was great. Loved it and will go back.

quick stay

place was clean, wave pool and slide was fun for the kids. It was nice because the doors to the pool area opened to get fresh air in so you didn't feel like you were in an indoor pool. Court yard outside so you could bring a cooler and have adult beverages while kids did there thing. Went to the Paddock Restaurant for dinner and had a great meal. Little more upscale but the kids enjoyed drinking there milk with dinner out a wine glass. Overall would return again.

Fun for kids - not the Four Seasons

We were looking for a last minute family activity to get out of the house and get away from the winter weather for a night. We booked 1 night at the Cape Codder. The hotel was fine for what we were interested in doing – getting the kids out of the house, letting them have fun in a different location and keeping them busy in the wave pool - mission accomplished. Overall the hotel is a little rough around the edges but perfectly adequate for kids to have fun. Our kids enjoyed the bonfire in the courtyard with marshmallow roasting, the wave pool and waterslides (a little crowded but none of the kids seemed to mind) and the video game room. There is also an evening movie that starts at around 8:30 for kids. It was fun – I wouldn't want to spend more than 2 days there but overall it was fine.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

We stumbled across the British Beer Company on Main Street in Hyannis. The menu was decent and the beer selection was great [...] . A 6 - 7 minute drive from the Cape Codder.

Good for families with young children

The Cape Codder had beautiful plantings our first impression was a nice place with the lobby in order and check in fast and courteous. However, when we walked into our room it stuck badly from mold. The amenities were well suited for family play, with a nice events schedule (outdoor movies, bonfire, steel drum band) and the wave pool was fun. However, an outdoor pool would have been great. The food was terrific and reasonablve priced. The conceriege was very gratious and helpful. If the room hadn't been stinky and tired, a black hair hadn't been found in the bed, an outdoor pool was available, it would have been perfect.
