"Better off sleeping in your car"

Stay at your own risk! My husband & I stayed here while visiting and attending a wedding in the Boston area. We reserved a 2 night stay at this hotel and stayed only 1 night. We would have tried to find another place to stay if it wasn't so late. The lobby was dirty and it smelled! We entered our room & we didn't want to touch anything not to mention there was a horrific smell; so bad we went to the store to buy vapor rub to put in our nose!! We wore flip flops in the room especially in the bathroom. The following morning we awoke there were drunk people hanging out the doors of their room & there also appeared to be families who resided in these rooms - no joke! We spoke to the manager to complain about the condition of the room. He looked surprised & offered another room - NO THANKS! You are better off sleeping in your car than staying at this flea bag hotel; not safe, dark, shady people, and D-I-R-T-Y!!! Overall, this hotel is so bad it can not be rated.

MONTICELLO INN

WENT TO FRAMINGHAM FOR A WEDDING. THIS MOTEL WAS VERY CONVENIENT TO THE WEDDING AND LOCATED NEAR ANYTHING YOU COULD WANT OR NEED BUT IT WAS LIKE STEPPING BACK INTO 1960. AND I AM PRETTY SURE THAT IS THE LAST TIME THEY DID ANY REQUIRED MAINTENANCE ON THE ROOMS.

Terrible

Dirty sheets with cigarette burns, Smelled like smoke in a non-smoking room. Upstairs, the "couple" (paid?) attempted to cover up loud sex by turning the TV up at 1 am . We all left itching. If it weren't midnight upon arrival, I would have driven somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Overall nice stay

Clean, probably recently painted, nice inexpensive place. My only complaint was that the heating in the room I used wasn't good. The thermostat didn't work, as the temperature was set for an entire bank of room from the office. Possible to turn on the AC to balance it out, but this seemed wasteful. Otherwise, quite nice stay.

Nice place with minor cosmetic issues

I dug this place. The room smelled like vacation. Although the fixtures are old, they were mostly intact and the bathrooms had classic green & black tile -- just wonderful. Minor cosmetic problems: difficult faucets & showerhead, too few outlets (fire hazard?). Overall my daughter & I liked it. From the looks of the very cool port cochere, it appears to be an old Howard Johnson. The traffic on the Route 9 strip is nasty but there is access to Rt. 90 nearby... the ugliness of the whole strip is stultifying, but that's not the hotel's fault.

If You Are on a Budget

If you are on a budget and want a no frills experience this is the hotel for you!. I was there for a 3 day stay on one of the coldest weekends to hit the Boston area(in the 30's) and there was no heat. After complaining repeatedly and calling [...], I was finally given a space heater. The king room did include a mini-fridge and microwave, yet to use the space heater or a computer and watch TV it was necessary to buy a power strip at the Wal-Mart across the street. Beware of rickety plugs when plugging anything in and hard sweets that pass as breakfast. On the positive side, it is a very old property with well tended flowers on the grounds, good coffee, some smoking rooms if you smoke, and a gigantic mall is across the street with a restaurant next door or other dining options a short drive away.
