Wish I had Known Ahead of Time
I wish I had known ahead of time that this Days Inn houses what looks like "Section 8" clients. I have nothing against such clients, however, being put in a room between two families with small children was a real problem for us. Kids knocking on the door, playing in the parking lot with a grocery baskart, boyfriends (?) hanging out drinking beer on the sidewalk next door, plus the constant din in the breakfast area all made for an unpleasant stay. We checked out a day early and headed to Cape Cod. In addition the air conditioner "rattled" all night long. I could not sleep, they said they fixed it, but did not.

The worst
My Sister and I planned this trip forever. It was to be our special getaway. We thought that booking at a Days Inn was a safe bet. Well ... it was not. When we got to the hotel. There were clothes hanging over the banisters. Kids running around the parking lot. Come to find out it was a residential hotel. 911 had to be called all 3 nights we were there. We had to make sure we were in before dark in order to feel safe. The carpets were filthy. You could not use the shower because it had backed up from another room. It was the worst stay ever. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Horrible
Visited Salem. The room was dirty, the hotel had working girls at night, and was running a day care center by day time. I was unable to eat the continental breakfast due to its appearance for one and the fact that every morning there were 10 to 20 unattended children in the dinning area (If you could call it that). One of the hotel managers who worked the reception area had visible herpes blisters on his face that he continued to scratch as he was checking us in. I saw needles by the dumpsters and groups of hooligans hanging around at night. My car alarm kept going off from the children playing in the parking lot. I did not feel safe in that motel. [...] I ended up leaving the Hotel 2 nights early and checking into a better hotel.[...]

Noisy, disrupted sleep
Days Inn, Danvers MA, was not what we expected at all. There were families with young children that acted like the hotel was their playground. Maybe it is, but it shouldn't be something that visitors have to deal with. Young children running and yelling down the hall outside our room at 9:30 pm. And more noise from the adults downstairs after 10:30 pm. The room smelled dank as well. Spring for the extra half-star in Danvers, MA.

When I couldn't get my laptop to connect with the hotel Wifi, the front desk associate printed off the schedule of the bus route I needed. They also gave me exact directions to the nearest pick up point.

dirty gross the worst place I ever
This hotel was so bad that we did not go and enjoy Salem the hotel was also a home for the poor we watched the school bus come in and pick up kids. I cannot believe that we even had to pay for the room. Honestly we should have been paid money to stay there. [...]
