Cambridge Hotel
Kri Nov 28, 2009
Stayed at the hotel for 1 week. The hotel is super clean, room was cleaned everyday, super comfy bed and comforter! Excellent ... views of the river and Boston. Right across the street is the Cambridge Galleria, great shopping. The subway is about a 5-10 min. walk (to the Green line)...about a 5-10 min. ride to the downtown area. If you plan on using the phone I would deff. buy a phone card. We made about 10-20 phone calls, ranging from 1-15 mins. each, and during check out were presented with a $300 phone bill!! (the prices for phone calls were not clear at all) Another downfal is there was no complimentary breakfast. For such a nice hotel, some coffee and pastries atleast should be offered.

Taxi ride from hotel to airport about $25! Take the subway instead and save money, super easy!

Take the Green line from Science Center into town, just 2 train stops, to Haymarket, which drops you in the heart of northside and quincy marketplace. From there you can walk across the street to the historic northside (little Italy), Oyster House, and the north wharf. Everyone is very friendly.

travel a lot Sep 27, 2009
We needed a place to stay for the night that was close to the airport. The hotel amenities, other then the food, were good ... but the cab driver taking us from the hotel to the airport over charged us. The driver never started the meter, made up an amount, $30 for a 7 minute ride, and then became arguementative. Perhaps the hotel should screen cab drivers prior to opening the cab door and assisting with the ride. All in all, it made for a bad experience.

The worst part was the short beds. I am only 5'3 and my feet hung off of the end of the bed. I felt terrible for my 5'9" son. ... One morning at about 9am we had asked the housekeeper for more towels. We never got them! The pool area was nice as was the view. It was nice having a mall across the street. I have to say that everyone that we dealt with there were so nice. Even the maid who didn't get us towels was friendly. We did have good time but wished we would have stayed elsewhere.
