Southern fried homies
Hotel Marlowe was a home away from home. We used the hotels kayaks, which were great! The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We had actually stayed at another hotel across the river for the first few nights of our vacation. Same rating and all. Marlowe blows them out of the water! We felt like we were home. The staff was great. Only downfall for our children, was no pool.

Take advantage of the kayaks in the summer. Nothing like seeing the skyline from the river.

Nice rooms, great location though pricey
We only stayed one night at the Marlowe for the 4th of July in Boston. The hotel is very close to the mall and dining. Parking- The parking is a bit confusing if you perform self parking. They share a lot with the mall and unless you go in the one entrance (was closed when we arrived), you end up walking through the mall with your suitcase and all. I guess I should have just used valet and spent the extra money. Front Desk- We arrived promptly at 3pm and went to check-in. The room wasn't ready which wasn't a big deal as the front desk woman said no more than 30 minutes. An hour and a half later, still no room and now we were getting upset. They gave us some free drink coupons which was nice. The beer bottle they gave me was completely broken (i.e. I could have seriously ripped my mouth open). They gave me a new one but nothing extra. We finally got a room after 1:45 minutes. Room - The room was very nice. The beds were super comfortable. Not much else to say since we only stayed one night and weren't in the room very long. We did get a nice note under the door overnight giving us a free continental breakfast apologizing for the room wait. Restaurant - I don't recommend the restaurant. It's small and the menu is even smaller. If you'e waiting for someone and just want a quick drink, sure. There are plenty of other choices nearby (PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, etc). Price - Not cheap. It cost us ~$300 for the night. So for what happened to us, I was expecting the royal treatment but it didn't really happen.

Great service in a convenient location
Attended MIT graduation and did a little touring. The concierge staff was very helpful in locating an urgent care center and nearby pharmacy. We even got to snuggle with another guest's dog in this pet friendly hotel!

LOVE THIS HOTEL!!!
The Marlowe was all we'd hoped for and more. The room was spacious and the decor lovely. We loved the convenient location-adjacent to the Mall, across the street from the Science Museum and really close to the T station. The hotel restaurant was amazing - nice to leave the kids in the room with a movie while we spent some alone time sipping wine and having a great meal. The morning we checked out, we'd arrived too late for breakfast, but the manager was SO kind and got us a nice continental breakfast so we didn't have to go home hungry. The staff was most helpful and courteous. If you're looking for a great value in Boston, this is the place. Significantly cheaper than staying on the other side of the river and every bit as nice as some of the best hotels in downtown Boston (we know, we've stayed in quite a few). We will definitely be staying there again!

Actually, the Mall is connected to the hotel via the parking garage, which itself is convenient because you can park there yourself for way less $ than Valet parking.

Great hotel!
My adult daughter and I met in Boston for a girls getaway weekend and this hotel was perfect! From the location, to the Galleria next door to the wine happy hour and the great staff! The concierge lived in the north end and suggested a great Italian restaurant along with some wonderful shops for coffee and dried meats. We had a wonderful time!

Great Experience
We stayed here to be close to Boston for an event we were attending. Great experience starting with the staff that greeted us, parked our car, and checked us in. Hotel has a great atmosphere; it's very clean with unique decor. Attached restaurant is very convenient with good prices and options for room service delivery. Wine hour in the lobby was nice although there are no snacks included like you would expect during a wine reception. Definitely would stay here again.

Two paws up!
My husband and I have two miniature dachshunds, and we always have difficulty finding nice hotels that allow pets. Not only did the Marlowe allow pets, it didn't charge an extra pet fee. Also, they went above and beyond to accommodate our pups -- putting a pet bed in our room so our dogs would be comfortable. They were even welcome in the comfortable lobby area during the free wine reception from 5-6 p.m.
