Holiday Inn in Brookline, MA
The hotel location is very good for visiting the Boston area - the green line train stop is 1/2 block away. The room was very good - large, clean, comfortable, great shower and all other necessities. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only negatives were 1. "Free" wi-fi internet access was very annoying - it was necessary to repeatedly login to the service [both from laptops and smart phones], which of course routed you thru a page with marketing. In this day and age, that is unacceptable to me. 2. The jacuzzi was out of order for our entire 2-day stay - not major, but a disappointment.

Some nice, affordable restaurants [we ate excellent Indian food] are located 2 - 4 blocks west (i.e. away from Boston) on Beacon [street on which the hotel is located].

Hotel Staff
The room account review from the in-room TV kept giving me the account of the previous guest. I was never able to see my account on the room TV. When I pointed this out to the check-in staff they were clueless. They even put the previous guest's charges on my bill and I had a tough time having them removed. They tried to overcharge me for parking. The check-in staff by and large were impolite and even rude sometimes. For a hotel that charges $250+ per night, there should be an on-site gift shop, 24-hour room service.

Great location across the train station
The hotel is well located across the train station and close to restaurants and groceries stores. My room had small kitchen with a refrigerator and a microwave making quick meals easy. The room was large and comfortable but quite a distance from the elevator. Front desk was very helpful in making arrangements for very early transportation to the airport. If in the area, I will stay again

Holiday Inn Brookline
It's a 3 block walk from Coolidge Corner and anything you might need. It's right on the MBTA Green line, with more connections within blocks. It's really nice to be mobile in Boston without a car. The only thing I'd change is 9 PM is a little early to stop room service.

It's a perfect location.
We stay at this Holiday Inn because it is so close to our children's condo. Additionally it is right on the T line and a short walk to Coolidge Corner shops and restaurants. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I like having access to a computer. The pool and hot tub area are well kept. If there is any problem the maintenance dept. is quick to help. Housekeeping varies from stay to stay - but the rooms are acceptably clean.

What a wonderful location! Right across from a T stop, and within walking distance of restaurants and JFK's birthplace. The staff could not have been more gracious. Unfortunately, this hotel is dreary inside. The design of the hotel consists of a two-story atrium, with rooms facing both inside and out. The entire interior is windowless, lightless, designed with walkways through garden planters filled with forlorn faux flowers. We had a very small room looking inward, and so had no access to outside sunlight. The lighting (lamps) in the room was inadequate as well. The bathroom was small and had no fan. Nor was there room to hang towels to dry. We spent as little time in the hotel as possible. If we were to choose this hotel again (which is unlikely) we would reserve an outside-facing room.

Don't know if I will return again.
I know this hotel because I lived in the area for many years. I paid a lot for a room which had no windows and the very small bathroom had a toilet which would be appropriate for a toddler because it was so low!It was so close to the shower as well! I had just flown in from europe and in the morning ,after I woke up and the clock said 7:00 am , I went to the very small gym only to find out that it was really 6:00am!(the clock was wrong) The gym had no towels and nothing to clean off the machines AND there were two tredmills one of which didn't work. I was surprised because as I said in the past I had stayed there before ,this time I found it NOT worth the money!

Unexpensive and nice hotel
I went to Boston for the first time. Me and my parents loved the city and the hotel was nice and one step from the metro stop (Green C line St Paul-St Inbound station). Really, really convenient!Even though the metro tickets are expensive in the city and we had to make a stop at Park street to witch to the red line, we think it is more economic to stay in Brookline. It is a very safe and quiet area of the city and Longwood medical center (Harvard medical school) is near by. The staff of the hotel was really nice and you have free internet in your room. The rooms look more like suites, the bathroom is great and everything looked clean and pleasant. I am going to stay in this hotel in my next trip to Boston!
