Motel 6 is exactly as expected the room was spartan clean and well kept. i was in the back room was very quiet and nonsmoking, nice and located very close to mass transit rail i would stay here again

Inexpensive, easy to find
It's right off the rotary off 3, near Braintree T station. Easy parking. Room was comfortable, but with the usual overpowering air-freshener smell I've come to associate with this motel chain.

If you'd like more than the included coffee, there's a Dunkin Donuts just down the road past the grassy knoll behind the motel.

Great Location!
This hotel is a hop skip and a jump from the Braintree Red T line station. My room (222) had no carpet and I liked that. The room was clean and even European/modern looking. Very friendly staff. Internet was $3/day.

Great value, but slightly lacks in cleanliness
Stayed for two nights with my wife. The hotel is located practically "on the subway station" so it's very convenient (no noise from trains). The room is very nice - its size is pretty large and it has a LCD TV. There is no breakfast included but there is complimentary coffee which is great as a take-away for the subway ride to Boston. However, while most of the room (including the bathroom) was very clean - the floor hasn't been swiped. We stayed there for two nights and from the beginning of our stay we saw that the floor is not clean (and in fact has not been swiped during the second day of visit). Overall, if you want to visit Boston and don't want to spend more than $100 per night - this is a good place. Only 25 mins by subway to the center of Boston.

Pay the extra $50 and stay somewhere else!!
I booked this hotel thinking I just need a place to sleep for the night, so I was being economical. That was a mistake, being that I stayed in a gorgeous hotel in downtown Boston for less than $50 more than I did at this Motel 6. Being that it was far from the downtown area, and that there was no non-smoking rooms available, I found it too far from the city, my clothes all began to smell like cigarette smoke, and there was bugs (mosquitos, I think) on the room towels, more bugs on the bathroom floor. The worst part: the shower drain was totally clogged as soon as i turned on the water. Don't be cheap. Stay someplace where you can at least take a shower and not worry about insects crawling in your hair. Finally, I purchased internet access for $3.95 and it wouldn't connect from my room so I had to head over to the lobby to use the net. Inconvenient.

Motel 6 Boston South - Braintree
Friendly service, average rooms .... stayed here before and this was my second visit. A good place if you just need a place to sleep etc... not much in the area, but around the corner is the train station. very convenient ... this is my staple motel when I visit Boston

Standard Motel 6 - Plain but dependable.
Pretty standard Motel 6 facility. Few frills, but clean and reliable. No problems with reservation, check-in, or check-out. $3/day for wireless internet. Free coffee available in the office. We were in Boston for the Marathon, looking for less expensive alternatives to the hotels in the city. ( along with a number of other runners staying that week). It's ideally located a short walk from the Braintree "T" stop, for a 40 minute ride to the city. ($15/wk for a pass). We hope to return there again--to run future marathons.
