Unbelievable style and service!
I needed a place to stay for work, and was thrilled to find a good rate at the Liberty Hotel. I'd been to the very cool bars there (Alibi, Clink) so I'd seen the gorgeous common areas before. The room was amazing, with a luxury bath and shower (Molton Brown body wash, soaking tub, loofah!). The bed was very comfortable. However, the biggest impact was the attention to personal service, from check in, to ordering room service, check out, getting a cab, etc. I travel a lot for work and pleasure, and this was the best customer experience I'd had in quite a while. Also, even though it doesn't seem like a business hotel, itw as great - they had good wifi and free calls. I will do everything I can to stay at the Liberty Hotel anytime I'm in Boston. Location is good, though I usually try to stay in Copley Square. The tradeoff of staying at such a cool, friendly place is worth it to me.

Great Location and Atmosphere
The Liberty Hotel in Boston was in a great location. There was a T stop right across the street and it was quick and simple to get to Cambridge and other locations. Beacon Hill, the Common Gardens, and the shopping & business districts were all within easy walking distance. The hotel staff was most accomodating and the decor was fresh and modern, with a historical twist since part of the Liberty used to be a jail. The bathroom was a real treat, with both a large shower and separate bathtub.

Best in Boston hands down
This was hands down, the best hotel I've stayed in. The food was ridiculously good. The service 5+stars. The location across the street from metro stop and Beacon Hill. I won't stay anywhere else ever again while in Boston if given the choice. The hotel is the old "city jail". It is way cool. Attention to detail is above and beyond. In room ammenities were modern beyond most places.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
Short walk to everything, or just stay in. It was a very posh, metro, trendy place. The food at scampo was to die for. The price was right given the level of the hotel.

Luv this hotel!
This is the 2nd time I've been to this hotel. I love the lobby area and also love how they have a restaurant that turns into a nice hotspot late at night. The location is great and the rooms were clean, but I must say that I expect a little more from the furniture in the room compared to the lobby of the hotel. I also like how in Clink restaurant, you can sit right next to a window with bars in it to get the "jailhouse" feel. Pretty Cool![...]It is very much within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and shopping. Oh, and I also love how they give you a glass of champagne upon checking in; nice touch!

Lastest and hottest Boston night spot
A few items that put us off.... Loved the environmentally conscience choices (reuse of towels, refilling of large shampoo, etc.) However, the low-flow toilets had to be attended to by engineering twice during our 4-day stay. (Very nice gentleman who was very efficient). Flat screen HDTV was great, but same engineer had to program it for us as it didn't work the first day. In-room coffee machine also didn't work and was never replaced. The lighting in the bathroom was not conducive to putting on your make-up. Halogen over head in sink area and none over the large mirror. The big item that put these two middle aged midwesterns off was the fight through the lobby on Friday and Saturday nights. Apparently, the Clink, the hotel's nightclub/restraunt, is the new hot spot for high brow 20-somethings. Each evening we had to convince the doormen we were hotel guests to get past the line then fight our way through the crowds in the entry way, up the escalator and through the lobby. If we had paid full price I would have been seriously upset with this inhospitable and VERY LOUD entrance into the hotel. Comfy beds. Large bathroom with great shower and large seperate tub. Across street from subway. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Liberty for all
The SOLE complaint is that the only soap whatsoever is in a wall-mounted dispenser in the shower. So to wash your face using the sink, or to use the bathtub, bring your own! Service was the best I have EVER seen.

Boston hip
Friendly (on occasion slightly unctuous) service, nicely decorated but very small room. I didn't like the big pump containers of bath gel etc. screwed to the shower wall...that felt cheap and inappropriate given the prices. Pleasant breakfast at Clink; we did not sample the other bars/restaurants in the hotel. Business Center had no chairs at the computers with internet access, which seemed inhospitable.
