The Liberty Hotel is awesome!!!!

Its the perfect location, right there there in downtown Boston! Right as you get ready to walk in, you are promptly greeted..as U make ur way up the esculater to the front desk you can see why its hotspot for night life... The lobby was exquist! The front desk was very friendly, courteous and attentive. The only negative is you better be prepared to get Alibi or Clink early on the weekend or you will be waiting in line to get in! I would definitely recommend the Liberty Hotel to anyone and I look forward to returning there again on my next trip to Boston!

The place to be!

We found the Liberty Hotel to be a great place to stay for our recent trip to Boston. As the former Charles Street Jail, they kept the history and intrigue associated with the facility but modernized it in a hip and happening way. If you are looking for a quiet place to be, the Liberty Hotel may not be for you as the lobby and downstairs tends to have a nightclub-type atmosphere. We found it to be a lot of fun and a great place to meet locals. The hotel is located in a central part of Boston and it is very close to the Charles/MGH 'T' stop, which makes it very convenient to get around - either by walking or riding. The rooms have beautiful decor and amentities and are comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Liberty and were very sad to leave.

Unbelievable style and service!

I needed a place to stay for work, and was thrilled to find a good rate at the Liberty Hotel. I'd been to the very cool bars there (Alibi, Clink) so I'd seen the gorgeous common areas before. The room was amazing, with a luxury bath and shower (Molton Brown body wash, soaking tub, loofah!). The bed was very comfortable. However, the biggest impact was the attention to personal service, from check in, to ordering room service, check out, getting a cab, etc. I travel a lot for work and pleasure, and this was the best customer experience I'd had in quite a while. Also, even though it doesn't seem like a business hotel, itw as great - they had good wifi and free calls. I will do everything I can to stay at the Liberty Hotel anytime I'm in Boston. Location is good, though I usually try to stay in Copley Square. The tradeoff of staying at such a cool, friendly place is worth it to me.

The best of everything

This classy new hotel is a definite place to stay. Modern amenities; friendliness, pet friendly, accessible to shopping, transportation nearby, excellent food, service and drinks, etc. are a given here. On arrival, the doormen were so very kind and extremely helpful. With our late arrival, the reception area was accommodating and has a nightly party happening with their champagne bar in lobby. We had a wonderful brunch with the same expected service. This is a definte stay for all.

Pet Friendly

Gorgeous hotel with wonderful history. Location is excellent. We walked to the Public Gardens, the Boston Common, the Aquarium and the Science Museum. It's on the Red Line metro @ Charles Street / MGH and adjacent to a footbridge that takes you over Storrow Drive to the Charles River Esplanade. We took the metro to Fenway and it was smooth. The hotel itself is very clean, hospitable with a modern decor. The room was clean, quiet and well supplied with lush tolietries. The prison theme is comically carried throughout this most sophisticated hotel. The conceirge and doormen were outstanding as well. Parking was expensive but the going rate for the area. We dined in The Clink for breakfast, it was delicious but expensive. We dined in Scampo for dinner. The ambiance, the food, everything was tops. They also provide pet sitters and playdates for the dog. We were able to leave her in the room unattended for short periods of time as she is well behaved.

A Must in Boston

Perfect location for intown. Charles Street is a tourist attration in itself and the hotel is simply magnificant. Ask for a river view, high floor. Great place to spend a weekend. Pricey, but worth it...especially the view. Service is exceptional.

Great Location and Atmosphere

The Liberty Hotel in Boston was in a great location. There was a T stop right across the street and it was quick and simple to get to Cambridge and other locations. Beacon Hill, the Common Gardens, and the shopping & business districts were all within easy walking distance. The hotel staff was most accomodating and the decor was fresh and modern, with a historical twist since part of the Liberty used to be a jail. The bathroom was a real treat, with both a large shower and separate bathtub.
