Maybe I'm too picky

I often wonder about scathing reviews. Perhaps their expectations were too high. Perhaps they are expecting higher quality than a particular hotel purports to offer. Let's see if my standards are too high. I really don't like pulling back the sheets on my bed and finding a used tissue, some crumbs, and a few miscellaneous hairs. I really don't like finding the supplied shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles half-empty. I really hate it when I don't have air conditioning in my room. I don't like forgetting to bring a tooth brush on my trip and finding out that they don't have ANY toiletry items available for travelers who may have forgotten something. I really don't like to have an ironing board that has no ironing board cover (just bare metal, folks). Finally, I don't like having a sink in my bathroom that's no higher than my knees. If you are unlike me and prefer these things, then the Constitution Inn is for you. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!!!

poor hotel

worst stay no parking on site closest parking 3 blocks away the pool on premisis is going though underground tunnel to the local YMCA you have to walk through the ymca women's locker room to get to YMCA pool. they have 2 elevators one for the 1st & 2nd floor and one for all floors. we were on the 5th floor and literally had to wait at least 5-10 min for a elevator. dirty and poor front desk services. no carts to put your baggage on they only have 4 carts for the entire 6 floor hotel and they were being used by 2 guest and the rest of us had to fend for ourselves. would not ever stay there again nor would I recomend it to anyone .

needs to be updated

The people in the hotel were rude - Loud and disrespectful. The Staff was very helpful to the area. As far as the room they need to get on there cleaning and replenishing the coffee

Great inexpensive stay in Boston

Very good. Super value, I shopped around on websites until I found this deal. We went swimming in the Y pool-attached to the hotel. Free shuttle takes you to the T-stop or you can walk to it. Take the T from airport to T-stop, get free shuttlle. Hotel is on the Freedom Trail so we walked it right into the city. Room was cleaned every day. Ask for kitchenette, you get a big frig, a stove, microwave. Take your own pot, paper plates, plastic utensils. No supplies come with the kitchen. Saves big to eat breakfast in room, pack lunch each day. Room was large for being in a city.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

the T (subway) is only $15 for a weekly pass. If you are staying more than 3 days, get the pass, you can hop on and hop anywhere in Boston. And kids ride free.

Just fine!

Clean and with all the amenities you'd expect for the price. The bathroom hair dryer kept shorting out, but I was provided with a working portable one without too much delay. The room's walls were a bit thin--I was woken up by neighbors at 8am on a Saturday--but otherwise we were quite happy with our room (and its blackout curtains!) and would return next time we're in Boston. Location was perfect, and parking was plentiful!

Despite what the signs say, you can park with out-of-state plates on the street near the hotel.

Not to clean

You did not say this was a YMCA. The room was not very clean. Old candy and peanut shells on the ground and the walls look like they have not been cleaned in years.
