Great Location and Value

This hotel was recently renovated and provides great value and the best location in downtown Boston. It's a large hotel where rooms are regularly available and I've stayed many times and never been displeased. Good in-house restaurant too (McCormick and Schmick). Comfortable rooms with good amenities too.

under renovation

This place is under renovation. The usual entrance is not in use and there is no signage on site or warning when made through this website. I drove in and had to circle the block three times (no small feat in downtown Boston traffic) to find the entrance/valet; try the Columbus street side... AC in room totally insufficient/ancient. Hopefully that is on the renovation list... In the end, yes, I would recommend this place, but ask about the above issues when booking...

Not my expectations for a "Park Plaza Hotel"

Beautiful location, very impressed with everything about the expectations for the "Park Plaza" name how ever... Very dis satisfied with the cleanliness of the room such as while enjoying the bath after a long tiring day, the pedestal sink had noticeably dry brown something and the bathroom air vents had visible dust which hadn't been cleaned in months. The transitioning from door locks to key cards were visible once you closed the door as well as the wall paper seams coming undone... Just a few unacceptable items

Good location near the commons

Very near the Commons, Arlington T stop and good restaurants, the hotel is large but efficient at check in and check out. Room was very clean. It does charge for in room internet and TV was a bit awkwardly located for easy viewing unless you are in bed. Also hotel currently undergoing facade work that means workers are outside various walls so you are advised to appropriately safeguard your privacy.

Great Location, Value and Comfort

I had been wary of staying here for a long time because I believed it was an old dame who had seen better days and was worn at the seams. NOT TRUE! The hotel has been nicely updated, rooms are comfortable, great on sight restaurants (including McCormack and Schmick) and the location is superb. Added to that, they often have rooms available for less that $120. There's no place else that comes close to matching that value and additionally the rooms are also comfortable. This is no budget hotel, it's a full on 4 star hotel that I will from now on call my home away from home while in Boston.

Awesome location

Everything about the hotel was great, save the fact that there was no complementary wifi in the rooms. However, the room was great and so was the location and staff.

Amazing hotel minutes from Times Square

The hotel room was clean and the decor was cool. Loved the ambience of the hotel reception, the art work was really interesting. The staff are nice and professional. Didn't realize it was a straight friendly gay hotel until I got there but it wasn't any different from other hotels I've stayed in. There were a few families there. The restaurant has pretty good food. The only problem was the music from the night club on Saturday night. It didn't disturb me as much but it will definitely be a problem for light sleepers. Overall I had a good stay. Will definitely stay there again.

Good Enough

Just needed a place to stay for the night. Walls were thin. Could hear the person coughing next door. Shower tub was thin and felt like it would crack. Tiny room but it was all I needed anyway. Good location; close to T. I would stay there again if the price were right.

Staff ,parking restaurants

All of the hotel staff from the valet parking attendant ,front desk staff and everyone else was very helpful and pleasant. There is parking garage close by which had reasonable rates for Boston 24 hours was 31.00 .Several nice restaurants within very close walking distance and also several right in the hotel so if you are traveling in the cold weather this is a very convenient location . I was Leary about the room size after I read some reveiws but the petit room I had was much larger than I thought it would be . The only complaint I did have is the housekeeping staff were a bit loud talking at 8am in the outside hallway.
