Definitely not a 3 or 4 star establishment

I think this hotel's only marketability is it's name and location. There were holes in the walls, electrical outlets half way out of the walls, impractical toilets, TONS of air conditioning problems. The staff are never suprised with the problems that crop up.

A sad old hotel

Picked this hotel last minute based on its central location. The check in process took 20 minutes - not that we waited in line 20 minutes - actually checking us in took 20 minutes. They couldn't find the reservation even though I had the confirmation number and showed them my confirmation email. The clerk left and went into some mysterious back room for 10 minutes while the line behind us grew full of annoyed travelers. Eventually we got checked in a king room on the 11th floor. The halls smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was clean so there's a plus for them. The walls are paper thin - a woman in the room next to us sneezed and it sounded like she was in our closet! Bathroom is circa 1950's. Tiny, tiny toilet. Next time I would choose another hotel for sure. Nothing special here.

Nightlife tip: Long walk from hotel

Storeyville - great night spot if you are 20 and like to wear shorts and sneakers and hang out in a black basement for your big night out on the town.

Not worthy

Besides magnificent lobby & great location, highly overpriced. Expect to pay $46/day for valet parking. Room needs complete renovation. Just because it has a big flat screen TV, it does not cover the chipped paint , dirt, etc. Dissapointed :(

Super small, and NO bathroom space!

We weren't expecting a palace, but the room was ridiculously small. The bathroom had no space to put things, except for a small shelf that ran across the sink and toilet. We had to make sure the toilet seat was down so nothing would fall in. The worst part, there was no place to hand our clothes, so we had to hang them on the ironing board, which was out in the room next to the dresser. Not even a hook or rack in the room or bathroom! Also, the TV was right next to the bed rather than at the foot (no room), which was awkward for the short amount of time we watched it. While we weren't in the room much, just getting ready in the morning was a bit of a challenge. Next time we'll be more careful and read the dimensions of a room before booking. 250 square feet is NOT adequate!

Room

The room is too small, and it was very noisy! I felt like a someone was rolling something on the top floor. I would not stay in this hotel AGAIN!

Was suppose to be a romantic weekend

The Park Plaza Hotel is a dump. Our room was tiny and old. There was a break in the ceiling between our room and the room next door. We could hear the guests next door coughing it was that bad. The room temperature was 77 degrees and the hotel engineer was unable to cool the room because they shut their AC off in November. They gave us a portable box fan to push the hot air around. It was a disgrace and no one should book this hotel. A total rip off. IT should be down graded to a 2 star hotel at best.

Very small room

The room I was given was so small I could barely unpack anything from my suitcase. The bathroom was terribly cramped, and I almost broke my toe on the corner of the tub just navigating from the toilet to the sink. Not inclined to stay there again.
