Perfect hotel for exploring Boston
We went on the week of the Fourth of July ( which I sooo reccomend) and stayed at the Boston Park Plaza. The room was small and unsuccessfully updated ( we stayed in the Towers Suites) but it was comfortable, and had a great view of the city. The room was much smaller than I imagined, but not a big deal in the scope of the trip. The conceirge was so incredibly helpful every day, and we loved exploring Boston's colleges, shopping, history, and fun spots. Best trip ever.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a subway station on Boylston about 30 feet from the Hotel. We got "charlies passes" before coming to help with transportation, and it was a total breeze.I do reccomend taking a taxi from the airport to your hotel, only becuase its easy after flying, and the cabbie could have some great insight into the city. Ours did! it makes for a fun beginning to your trip.

Couples get away
The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was older, with some updates to the tub/shower area. No fan in the bathroom was odd. Lamp on one side of the bed was not plugged it, NO SOCKET TO PLUG IT INTO! The dresser that housed the TV (nice TV by the way) had a broken leg as well as a bent one, it didn't fall over so thats a good thing.

Fancy Boston Stay
It's a really fancy hotel. The building is old and quaint. We got a petite room for two and totally worth it. It was a birthday present so if you're willing to spend a few extra bucks, this hotel is classy and in a great location of town. It's about a 5 min walk to the subway station too. The only problem was the shower was miniscule but if you can get over that, it's a great hotel.

Back Bay famous hotel
Room was very small (bathroom even smaller). Housekeeping did not turn off the bedside alarm from previous guest so I was awakened at 5:30 am. Restaurants in the neighborhood were surprisingly dull. Subway connection to convention center and airport required two train changes. All in all, not as nice as I expected. I usually stay in Cambridge but price at the Park Plaza was significantly lower so I gave it a try.

Decent place to stay
Excellent location, however, can be pricy in terms of what you're getting in your room. Wifi is not complimentary and many of the rooms receive poor cell reception.

Great location and value
I was in Boston for a few nights recently. The Park Plaza is very centrally located, very close to the Boston Commons and Arlington subway station, and just 10 minutes' walk from Chinatown, South Station and Copley Place. As a solo traveler, I stayed in a single queen-bed room. It was very comfortable and well-furnished, and a decent size considering the circumstances. HD channels on the TV, quality toiletries, numerous pillows, and free wi-fi in the lobby. Had two occasions to talk to the concierge, and both times the man/lady was friendly and helpful. For the location, it was the most economical luxury hotel in the area, and I wasn't disappointed. Will definitely stay again.
