Perfect birthday weekend!

The location was perfect. We were only there for a brief birthday weekend so we did not get to try many hotel amenities. We were able to walk to Fenway the first day, then walk down to the Duck Boat staging area, then the Public Garden, and on to the Freedom Trail the next day. My ten year old son thought it was the nicest hotel he had ever been in.

Summer Vacation - East Coast

We toured the city of Boston and the location of the Back Bay made this convenient to many of the places we visited. While there weren't a lot of amenities, we would have been too busy to enjoy them. The restaurants in this area for evening meals would have been expensive for a family with young children.

We used the subway system as our primary mode of transportation. You can purchase Charlie Cards for a week. This allows you to use the subway as often as you need.

Noisy - walls are made of paper!

Hardly any view from the hotel room - just a small window. The air conditioning is really old and noisy. And then of course the noise from the adjoining room and the corridor. The only time I slept with ear plugs (besides a plane).

Loved my stay at The Back Bay

Loved my stay at The Back Bay Hotel Boston. The hotel itself was beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, close to Boston Common, good restaurants, bars and shopping. I would definitely stay here again. The room was well appointed and very clean. Loved the heated towel rack and complimentary robes in the bathroom. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. Also loved the free wi-fi. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for first class service and a great location to all of Boston's hot spots.

Back Bay Hotel is a class act!

I had high expectations based on reviews that I had read on the Back Bay Hotel, and I was not disappointed! The service was outstanding, and the location could not be any better. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, and the rooms are very comfortable. Would definitely return and recommend to others. The only negative aspect was the fact that the air shuts off when you leave the room. Makes for a hot time when you return from the 90+ heat outside.

Perfect!

This was the first trip my husband and I have taken without our children. We spent the night in Boston to see the Red Sox (they won in extra innings!!). The Back Bay Hotel was PERFECT!! We were able to check in early (11:30 am) and we were on Newberry street for lunch. The location is perfect for shopping on Newberry and later in the evening we walked over to Fenway. We returned from the game and grabbed a bite to eat and a drink at the Cuffs downstairs. The service and food were both tremendous. In the morning we had a great breakfast downstairs in the restaurant. Again, both the food and service were superb. The room was spotless- super comfy too!! We will, without a doubt, stay here again.
