Totally unsatisfying!!!
We were visiting Boston both for business and pleasure. The hotel's location is very good but the staff are really unfriendly and they're taking all chances to rip you off. They're all looking for tips, it has a very charming decoration but you have to pay for everything. Breakfast per person is 19usd and it is a very simple breakfast buffet for which you would ony pay about 5-6usd elsewhere. I definitely do not recommend this place. 2 minute international phone bill was 66usd and they charged these amounts for alost everything. If you decide to go to this hotel, keep in mind that while checking out you will pay another lot for unreasonable things...

Where's the staff?
Jurys hotel was in a great location and the facility was very well done. On entering our room, the carpet was notably stained/soiled. This was easy to understand when we saw how inattentive the daily cleaning of our room was. Housekeeping of our private space was really poor. The concierge, although friendly, didn't direct us to the great restaurants of Boston. He even tried repeatedly (over a 5 day period) to send us to the same restaurant where we had dined on the first day. That day he asked how it was as we passed his desk, when we said the food was good but the service was bad, he agreed!

Noisy - walls are made of paper!
Hardly any view from the hotel room - just a small window. The air conditioning is really old and noisy. And then of course the noise from the adjoining room and the corridor. The only time I slept with ear plugs (besides a plane).

Good location, marginal experience
This was our second year in Boston attending the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships. In 2008 we stayed at the Intercontinental in South Boston. We selected Jury's this year due to the proximity to the Back Bay train station. It was an excellent location, but our experience at the hotel was only average compared to other hotels where we have stayed in the past. The hotel was small, the staff was not overly accommodating, the rooms were not cleaned properly each day and there was no turn down service. We ate in the hotel only once. The food was good, but we had to wait an exceptionally long time and it made us late for our engagement. When we come back to Boston, we will return to the Intercontinental. We booked that trip through Orbitz, also, and it was a much better experience for the money.

okay
we reserved a king room and were given a room with two doubles. we were then directed to the next room, which had doubles as well. the third room was a king, as we requested, however the air conditioning stopped working during the night. the front desk did apologize, but i would not stay there again with so many great hotels in the area.

Mr. KinLA
Loud Chiller
The room was fairly clean, but the noise from the "chiller" was insane. I called the front desk and they called up the maintenance guy immediately. He told me they could do nothing about this as the "chiller" controlled the temperature for the entire hotel. After I was unpacked and all, I didn't want to change rooms even though I made note to the front desk about this issue.

Nice hotel but a bit off the beaten path for winter
First of all, the biggest downfall of this hotel is that there is not a coffee pot in the room. One is available to rent for 30 dollars which seems crazy to me. We went in the winter and while the busier streets are within a short walk, I really wish I had stayed somewhere closer to shopping. The hotel itself is very nice and well mantainted. We only dined in the lounge once and the food was very mediocre and bland. Great atmosphere and the decor is superb. Bottom line, if you dont need coffee in your room, and if you go in the summer, and if you eat elsewhere, this is the hotel for you!

Great location
The Jury's Boston Hotel is an elegant hotel in an excellent location (right near Boston Commons) for a good price. We found the room to be comfortable, well kept and well appointed and of a standard size (a bit on the small size but this is standard for a downtown Boston hotel). The staff is very professional and quite helpful. We found the room service menu to be somwhat limited, and the hotel restaurant quite expensive. However, the hotel is very centrally located in Boston with lot's to do in the immediate vicinity and very close to several train stops. The central location, in combination with a reasonable rate (for downtown Boston) were the best things about our stay.
