Cozy hotel in back bay
I typically stay at the Park Plaza, but wanted to try something a little different - The Back Bay Hotel was much more up to date and clean. The lobby(s) were quiet and have complimentary wireless; the restaurant is a great place to have breakfast in the mornings, they provide free coffee and the WSJ - great business travel hotel

Great Hotel
We were visiting our daughter who is in college in Boston. We have stayed many places over the past 4 years but The Back Bay Hotel was the best place we have stayed. Big, clean room which was nicely decorated. Great bar on the ground floor with excellent bartenders. The staff, particularly the bellman were fantastic. We had a wonderful weekend there and will return!

Very nice.
We had a very nice stay. The staff is friendly and the location perfect. We split our time between Copley and Downtown Crossing and Chinatown. This hotel is centrally located so it is easy to get to everything. No pool and small fitness club, so not quite as nice as Intercontinental (which is the other place we stay at). Overall, very clean, nice, friendly, easy. We would stay again. Not a bad price for a nice hotel in Boston -- $100 less than Intercontinental.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
We love sushi. Our favorite sushi place in the whole world is Sushi-Teq at the Intercontinental Hotel on the waterfront. About a 20 minute walk from Back Bay Hotel. We also like lunch in Chinatown.

Great Hotel in a Great Location
The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The room appears to be recently updated and very clean. The hotel is in the heart of Back Bay and is close to shopping, restaurants, and public transportation. I would definitely recommend the Back Bay Hotel to anyone. The hotel has free wifi and provides two complimentary bottles of water everyday which is a nice touch. Didn't try the room service because there were several great neighborhood restaurants in the area. The only complaint I had with the hotel was the lack of HD programming. Like so many hotels today, they have updated to a flat screen TV, but their was no free HD channels. I plan on staying at the Back Bay Hotel the next time I'm in Boston.
