Luxuriously refined classic hotel overlooking Boston's Public Garden

The Taj Boston is one of the city's most desirable hotels with the Public Garden and Boston Common in the backyard and upscale boutiques on Newbury Street out the front door. Since 1927, a stately lobby with refined decor and fine art has welcomed guests. A 2002 multimillion-dollar renovation restored the hotel to its original glory in honor of the Taj's 75th anniversary. Elegant rooms offer twice-daily housekeeping and top-notch amenities. Guests can walk to Copley Place, the theater district and other Boston attractions from this central hotel. The hotel also offers Wi-Fi access for added convenience.

Most rooms have views of either the Public Garden or Newbury Street and some suites have wood-burning fireplaces.
Features

Great weekend getaway

The staff at this hotel are fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. The Taj is also ideally located - everything worth seeing and doing is so close by. I'll definitely stay at the Taj Boston again the next time I'm in town!

Great location but thats it !

The location was fab, near the park and newbury street full of shops. But the service of the hotel was really ordinary nothing special. The restaurant for breakfast you could feel the staff were tensed and rushing around. Sometimes dropping things on the ground as they were so rushed. The room was, bathroom could have been refurbished as it seem a little old. Bed was very comfortable but was surprised to have to stand on a stool to get on the bed. I thought the hotel was not bad but def overpriced and you paid for the location not the hotel amenities or service.

Great Place to Stay

The staff at the Taj was wonderful! There was always someone around to answer questions, help with your needs or just say hello. The location was perfect! I was there to run the Boston Marathon and the Taj was just a block from the finish. For sight seeing and restaurants there was a lot that was within walking distance and the T station was right there on the corner. It was a bit pricey for me but the [...] discount was helpful. It is unfortunate that hotels have to charge for internet, as even when you are on vacation your work still calls. There was a daily fee of $10.25. The only inconvenience for me was lack of a coffeemaker in the room and no coffee available in the lobby. You could get hot coffee at the cafe. They had a sign that said they charged $3.25 a cup, but they always just gave me the cup of coffee. Coffee in the morning to your room was $18. A bit pricey for a simple product. Great place.

I do not feel for the cost it was worth it.

Once again, for the price the room and in particular the washroom was very small. I primarily stayed at the hotel due its location. Had a friend joined me as planned, it would have been quite tight...
