With the Sheraton brand shining in neon from the top of this soaring tower block, a look out from most Sheraton Boston Hotel windows will take in glorious scenes of the river or the city of Beantown itself. Dark wood paneling and marble floors denote a simple New England elegance within, but guests may wish to spend much of your time out on the pool deck by one of the largest heated pools in the area. Try a grilled sandwich from the SideBar menu, or grab a Starbucks beverage on your way from place to place. A carbon-neutral meeting space, 'Alive on Five', offers a unique take on working away from home, along with all the free Wi-Fi spots you would expect from a business hotel.
Key facts
  • 1,220 guestrooms
  • 70,000-square-feet of meeting space, including 7 ballrooms
  • Restaurant: SideBar & Grille
  • 24-hour free Wi-Fi and PC terminals in lobby
  • Coffee shop
  • Fitness center
  • Heated indoor/outdoor pool
  • Pets allowed (up to 40 pounds, subject to hotel policy)
Neighborhood
The Sheraton Boston Hotel is located in Boston's vibrant Back Bay neighborhood and is connected to both the Hynes Convention Center and the Prudential Center Mall, four miles from Logan International Airport (BOS). A stroll through the neighborhood around the hotel will take you past some of Boston's most eye-catching architecture, including vintage Victorian-era brownstones and historic Copley Square. Walking a few blocks north of the hotel, you'll reach the main draws for shopping, eating and merry-making around Newbury and Boylston streets.
Hints and tips
Feel like expanding your eating options? The neighboring Prudential 'Pru' Mall serves everything from a classic East Coast lobster to a hearty and wholesome burger.

Try Legal Sea Food for their clam chowder and Mondrian-inspired decor.

Great base to see Boston

We loved the Sheraton as a base to tour the city, as it's near the museums, but also downtown. The hotel has all the amenities - the bar had a good dinner menu, the pool and fitness center were incredible, and the lobby connected to the shops around the Prudential Center.

Came for a Sox game...

Pros: * Great walking distance to the Ballpark (about 10-12 minutes). * Staff on-site is very courteous and friendly * Connected to a shopping mall * Very comfortable beds * Great view from our rooms * HUGE lobby Cons: * Small bathrooms * Awful water pressure in the showers (we experienced the same shower pressure between 4 rooms on 2 different floors) * Staff over the phone were very rude in discussing anything about our reservations. (We were basically told we shouldn't have booked our reservations through a 3rd party). * Try to get a room that is NOT located near the elevator, if you do, you will hear it all night. * $49 parking EACH night you are there. * Wifi is $9.99 in your room or free in the lobby (Understand that before you connect). * Continental breakfast is not included in your room price and is an additional $16-25 per person. (There is a Starbucks directly across from the Continental breakfast, go there and get a cheaper meal, we did)

Great Location

Stayed with my daughter. Connects to the mall at the Pru, so 70 shops/food at your reach off the second floor. Breakfast at hotel is overpriced, but typical for the city. Restaurant in hotel closes early, so connected to mall is a welcome addition, great place to stay for the money!

Dining tip: In Hotel

While main dining room closes early at night the bar serves a pretty good dining menu. They will also let you order off menu for kids as they dont gave a childrens menu. Seating area to the right of bar so you dont feel like your kids eating right in the lounge. Horrible advertising of food, didnt know it was there my first visit three years ago. Found it by accident this trip,

Boston short break

A good hotel in an excellent location. Room was on a high floor with good views over the river. Nice friendly staff and free use of computers in the lobby was quite handy. Would have been better if room had a fridge and a safe but was a good size for the 3 of us.

Sheraton Boston Review

Excellent hotel, great location, considering is was the busy long (Boston College moving in weekend), hotel was very busy, and check in very long. Elevators are very slow and painful, but hotel is planning upgrade to improve elevator service/time. Very good.

Green effect

This hotel was very good. We really approved of their green policy and welcomed the rewards facility for guests who did not want their towels replaced every day. However the system was over complicated and meant that nothing in the room was replenished or cleaned. Also it was not made clear how the rewards tokens were issued or how they could be used. This may sound churlish when every thing else was very good.
