Convention Travelers

This hotel distinguishes itself by being a no-tip hotel. This is a refreshing change from the constant digging for tip money. This is a very nice hotel with a good restaurant downstairs, but I would have preferred to have a microwave available in my room to accomodate my special diet. They do provide a small refrigerator in the room. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I had no problems with check-in or check-out.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

This hotel is close to the Boston Convention Center, but NOT close to most historical or recreational sites. The hotel is great about getting taxis for their guests. The concierge is very helpful about local sites and activities. There is also a public transportation stop just outside the hotel. The Boston Metro is an alternative to multiple taxi rides...

Super Hotle! Great location!

Hotel was beautiful! Terrific room...Great detail to service. Also, they don't take tips! They charge you $3.00 a day on your bill. Super idea!! Hotel lounge was very nice. Always a cab outside. One tip...if you come by air, take the water taxi from the airport to the hotel....but use a City water taxi...it drops you off closer to the hotel. We used a Boston Cruise Shuttle, and they drop you off a little farther away.Went back to airport by City Water Taxi that the hotel called for us. Right on time!! Perfect!! Also, the hotel is on the route for many Boston Tours so pick up is easy. Very closes to a great Seafood Restaurant...Anthony's Pier 4...we walked there in 3 minutes! Great dinner and service, also! I highly recommend the Seaport Hotel!!!!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Don't always believe the reviews you read. It seems that the more expensive the restaurant, the more complaints...maybe Bostonians don't like to spend too much for dinner. I checked many many restaurant reviews, and I'm glad I didn't go by them!! Both restaurants we went to...Anthony's Pier 4 and Fleming were excellant and I'd go back in an instant.

Traveller

The hotel is very clean and within walking distance of downtown. The hotel also runs a shuttle during the day until about 7:00pm to and from State Street. They bill themselves as all inclusive as no tipping is required but it is added onto everything automatically. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel. We were able to check in at noon and check out at noon the next day with no problems. The only drawback is the $31/day parking.

Enjoyable Experience

For the quality of the service and staff and the comfort of the rooms, this hotel was a great value. The non tipping policy is a major plus. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The pool and fitness center have very convenient hours. The brewery tour nearby is fun. We took several historical tours and rode the trolley. A trolley shuttle took us to the starting point and the tour company picked us up. There are several good restaurats nearby that are reasonably priced. The only problem we encountered was that the grab 'n go breakfast was out of cereal several mornings. Overall, a great experience.

The location was great! Within walking distance or bycyling distance to many local attractions! The parking was a bit pricey but doible. The staff were very accomidating and pleasant. The rooms were neat and clean, quiet as well! Did not get a chance to enjoy the inhouse Restaurant but the menu and atmosphere looked great!
