The Omni Parker House, constructed in 1927, is one of the Historic Hotels of America. The original Parker House Hotel was established in 1855, and the modern venue maintains the Parker House commitment to luxury. At Parker's Restaurant, sample Baked Boston Schrod (cracker crumbs, jasmine rice, white wine and lemon beurre blanc), Boston Cream Pie, or the Parker House Roll for an authentic taste of the very city where these dishes were concocted. Guests seeking a nightcap should try one of The Last Hurrah's golden Bostonian whiskeys for a warming end to a day of exploration; look closely at the walls, and the faces of politicians, senators and congressmen will beam down at you as you sip. Accommodations range from the Economy Petite Single to the family Freedom Trail Suite, where cozy bean bags, activity tables, and children's costumes make for an entertaining stay.

Be in the Heart of Everything in Downtown Boston

The Omni Parker Hotel in Boston is located in downtown Boston, which is very convenient for business and personal vacationers. The minute you walk out the front door, you have a Starbucks, bars, restaurants, shops and a nearby T stop. The doormen give really good service to help you get where you are going. Don't forget to try the Parker House rolls while you are there. If on business the hotel lobby is a wireless hotspot! The rooms were kept clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I reccommend it if you need to stay in the downtown area or near Quincy Market which is just a few blocks away.

Right around the corner from the hotel there are a few local restaurants and bars. Check out the local sandwich shop Sam La Grassas's, really good. There is also a Mailboxes etc. and CVS down the street along with many other shops.

Very nice!

Great location near Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, Freedom Trail, and Beacon Hill. Walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Room was nice and clean. The room was not very big and the layout a bit odd, but considering I was in the room to sleep, shower and change my clothes, it was not a problem. I would definitely stay at this hotel should I return to Boston.

Get a Go Boston pass! For one price it gets you into all the big attractions and a 2-day pass on the Beantown Trolley. The card more than paid for itself and made getting into museums easy.

Excellent Location

My husband and I were in Boston for our honeymoon. Neither of us had ever been there, and we wanted to catch a couple Red Sox games. The absolute best thing about this hotel was the location. We were within a short walking distance to pretty much everything. If it was too far to walk, there were three T stops within a five minute walk from the hotel. Most of the staff at the hotel(front desk, management) were fairly rude to us. I'm not sure if it was because we weren't your average upper-class, bussiness traveler. But the bell boys and the guys who helped with our luggage, were among some of the nicest people we met while in Boston. I would not recommend eating at the restaurants if you are on a budget. (We spent $50 for two people for breakfast one morning) The rooms were nicely decorated, but still very small even though we stayed in a deluxe. The exercise room was very nice also. I liked how there was a basket of fresh fruit every morning when I went down there. Our overall impression of the hotel was good, and we look forward to our return to Boston.

The best and most authentic pizza that I have found since being in Italy two years ago, was at the Upper Crust. They make the most delicious pizza, and it tastes as good, if not better, than in Italy. A big plus, they deliver. The concierge at Omni Parker will have a menu.

Omni Parker House

The Omni Parker House is situated in a perfect location for touring downtown Boston and the Freedom Trail; it's close to just about everything. Upon your arrival the staff is there to greet you and no request is too small; very helpful and willing to assist. If you tour the city via the Old Town Tolley their #5 stop is just around the corner. Plus, it's a short walk to the Boston Commons, Quincy Market and about 15-20 minutes to Little Italy!

Great location at a reasonable price

We were visiting colleges but had time to take in the historic Freedcom Trail walk and the nearby shopping. The hotel is centrally located near Boston Commons, the T Line and Quicy Market, and the aquarium. The Omni Parker House Hotel was a beautiful historic hotel with formal dining service. The Hotel concierge was extremely helpful.

Right in the middle of it all!

If you are in Boston for the history and charm, this is the place for you. We walked everywhere! Convenient to the subway/bus system and lots of fun places to explore. A room the size of ours would be difficult with children or 4 adults, but was fine for us. Beds were very comfortable and Select Guest membership got us drinks delivered free everyday. Lots of history in this hotel and the area, but we never saw Mr. Parker's ghost, although we did go searching!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk around a few blocks when you first get there. There are some good, reasonably priced places to eat in the area and lots of them at the Quincy Market which is walkable for any age. Food at the Last Hurrah bar in the hotel is tolerable, but better sandwiches are available close by. Food is expensive in Boston, but you can find cheaper ways to eat. Sodas and ice cream at nearby CVS and wonderful bagels at Quincy Market and a bagel shop right down the street can help save money.
