The Omni Parker House, constructed in 1927, is one of the Historic Hotels of America. The original Parker House Hotel was established in 1855, and the modern venue maintains the Parker House commitment to luxury. At Parker's Restaurant, sample Baked Boston Schrod (cracker crumbs, jasmine rice, white wine and lemon beurre blanc), Boston Cream Pie, or the Parker House Roll for an authentic taste of the very city where these dishes were concocted. Guests seeking a nightcap should try one of The Last Hurrah's golden Bostonian whiskeys for a warming end to a day of exploration; look closely at the walls, and the faces of politicians, senators and congressmen will beam down at you as you sip. Accommodations range from the Economy Petite Single to the family Freedom Trail Suite, where cozy bean bags, activity tables, and children's costumes make for an entertaining stay.

A great little French restaurant called Marliave is very close. Also, the North end Italian district has a zillion good places to eat within about a 15 minute walk..

Perfect Location!

You can walk to the Boston Commons, Fanueil Hall, Union Oyster House, the Duck Pond, Beacon Hill. It is the best location. Staff was great, very helpful and polite. You really get a feel for what Boston is all about. The walls to our room were a little thin as we could hear baby crying, but that's probably everywhere. The beds were super comfortable. The room itself is small but if you travel to big cities or overseas, then you know the older hotels are like that. I would definitely stay here again!!!

Would stay here again

When the front desk noticed we had 4 adults in our party, they kindly upgraded us to a bigger room! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked the historic charm of the decor. And the location was primo!! Everything was close by and walkable and super easy to get to using the train from the airport.

Great location, shows her age

The hotel is a great landmark. Its location in Boston can't be beat. The food is good and the staff are great. The building, décor, and furnishings are a bit tired and showing their age. Not a high-end getaway, more of an aging pub feel but also lacks the pretense of a Fairmont.

The only major gripe I have is that the room was the size of a linen closet!

Awesome location downtown

Comfy bed, average bath. The shower was tight and had a drain that did not drain properly, leaving you standing in 4 inches of water by the end of your shower. No coffee in the lobby in the morning, but Starbucks is nearby check in was fast and friendly.

One night stay during extended flight lay-over

Everything was wonderful during our stay. The staff made everything so easy for us, we barely had to ask for anything as they seemed to know the answer already. Robes in the deluxe room were a nice bonus and really comfy. Restaurant was amazing, although a little pricey. But well worth it to see where so many historical figures and famous chefs have eaten, etc. The only down side would be the price. just a little too expensive for any extended stay. Again, all staff were so wonderful, and this made the price less of an issue.

Nice hotel, great location.

You really can't beat the location of this hotel. The room was very clean and, although it was very tiny, all I was doing was sleeping so, no big deal. This hotel has no parking but, they have valet and charge you almost $40 a night for it. I think for the price of the tiny room, it should include parking or, at the very least, a continental breakfast? Maybe even a morning paper would be nice.
