Good, but could be better

The room was clean, but small. The bathroom was really small. That said the best reason for staying at the Parker House is Location, Location Location. You can walk to most anywhere in the city to here and there is a subway line just 5 minutes walk. The only real problem was that the mini bar and water was never re-stocked during our stay, and the TV controller was falling apart.

Great Value & Location

While in desperate need of update to its room (drapes, chairs, carpets, etc.) the hotel is a historic icon and staffed by the most wonderful people. It's drawbacks are totally overshadowed by it's location and the effort taken to provide a memorable visit to Boston.

Very Friendly Staff

The Omni is currently under construction. Although the room was very samll, it was in a quiet section of the hotel. All staff members were extremely friendly and we were pleased with the communication and service we received. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my own family and friends.

Great location

The Omni Parker was in a very good location for getting around Boston. It is in walking distance to many sites and convenient to the subway if you need to use it. our room (2 double beds) was average size, very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We asked questions almost daily. It was nice to be so close to Quincy Market, to either grab something to eat or for some free entertainment by the street performers.

Great location

The Hotel location is centrally located to any place you want to visit in the down town area. Everything is within a 30 min walk from the Hotel. The Hotel is very clean and very well maintained. The standard rooms are a little small but clean. Hotel services were good and every one was polite and courtesious.

In center of town

The Omni Parker Hotel was under reconstruction (which we did not know). The room was vast in height-we felt like little people, but not large in usable walking space. We felt the $38 per night valet parking was steep and we were not notified of that increase in cost before going. If a woman was traveling alone, there would be serious concern about safety in regards to the room location we were assigned to-back in the further recesses of hotel The concierge was extremely helpful and gave us some good tips-especially the idea to see Shear Madness. That was a hoot! Compared to other hotels we stayed in, we would rate this low on the list for the money. I would recommend it to someone who likes to be in the middle of town, and not concerned with updated rooms and bathrooms.

Disappointed

The carpeting in the room was dirty and stained. The bathroom is too small and cramped. The dining room is much, much too expensive. The location was good but that was about all.
