The Omni Parker House, constructed in 1927, is one of the Historic Hotels of America. The original Parker House Hotel was established in 1855, and the modern venue maintains the Parker House commitment to luxury. At Parker's Restaurant, sample Baked Boston Schrod (cracker crumbs, jasmine rice, white wine and lemon beurre blanc), Boston Cream Pie, or the Parker House Roll for an authentic taste of the very city where these dishes were concocted. Guests seeking a nightcap should try one of The Last Hurrah's golden Bostonian whiskeys for a warming end to a day of exploration; look closely at the walls, and the faces of politicians, senators and congressmen will beam down at you as you sip. Accommodations range from the Economy Petite Single to the family Freedom Trail Suite, where cozy bean bags, activity tables, and children's costumes make for an entertaining stay.

Everything that is good about a hotel.

Boston is a favorite destination city but, I had not stayed at the Omni Parker House prior to this visit...which was my loss as every aspect of the hotel was of an excellent standard and the renovation deserves celebration. There was not a single item to list in the negative. Thank you!

A great place to stay

The Omni Parker House Hotel is a great place to stay. It is the best location in Boston, and has the friendliest and most efficient staff. The Omni is the oldest continuously running hotel in the United States. As a result the rooms are a little small, and you can hear some noise from the outside. However; they make up for it with a superb location, close to almost every attraction and the subway system. The staff is well trained and seem to truly enjoy what they do. One day I came back with my hands full and one staff member held the door while a second got the elevator, and a third pushed my floor on the elevator's key pad. Every time you stay there the doorman greets you with the salutation "Welcome Home." I feel like he is right.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Try the North End for dinner, the authentic Italian neighborhood and its many restaurants is only a short walk away and try Mike's or Modern Pastry for dessert. Both a real treat.

The perfect Boston Weekend

We arrived by Amtrak on Sat. and it was just two stops on the T to get to the hotel. From the subway stop to the hotel was maybe a five minute walk. Once inside, the room was perfect. The only downside was, we had reserved three rooms and one room wasn't ready until 3:45. The service in the dinning room was impeccable. The location to the Quincy Market, the Aquarium and the North end was very convenient. Once there you don't need a car.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Subway was our mode of transportatiaon to Fenway park. An easy one block walk from hotel. If you get to game early (2.5 hrs before it starts) you can buy a red sox fan pass for $15. This gets you and one guest on green monster for thirty minutes before the rest of the crowd can come in. THis is good for season. Take your glove because a lot of balls aaaare hit up there.

Short Stay in Boston

I stayed at the Omni Parker House with my wife and three kids for 3 nights as part of a short trip to several cities in the east. The hotel's location was excellent, on the Freedom Trail and walking distance from the New England Aquarium and Children's Museum. The kids really enjoyed the Aquarium and specially the Children's museum. We were able to easily take the city subway to Fenway Park, Harvard and MIT. No need for trolleys. We walked the Freedom trail and ended shopping in Quincy Market. The hotel is very elegant, quiet and with great service. Huge room. Recommend the hotel. The concierge gave great directions to use subway. Great city and great hotel.

Lost the love for Omni

for my last three visits to this Hotel, I have been placed in the same room #260 This room is next to the service rooms, dumpsters, and other noises I could not pinpoint. It is very small.I feel like an unwanted guest when I stay there. This hotel is grand and the room only kills the allure. I am done staying at the Omni. There is no way I randomly got the same room three times ( each time booked thru [...]) I wonder if they keep the tiny, cheap looking rooms for people who book thru these sites.
