The Omni Parker House, constructed in 1927, is one of the Historic Hotels of America. The original Parker House Hotel was established in 1855, and the modern venue maintains the Parker House commitment to luxury. At Parker's Restaurant, sample Baked Boston Schrod (cracker crumbs, jasmine rice, white wine and lemon beurre blanc), Boston Cream Pie, or the Parker House Roll for an authentic taste of the very city where these dishes were concocted. Guests seeking a nightcap should try one of The Last Hurrah's golden Bostonian whiskeys for a warming end to a day of exploration; look closely at the walls, and the faces of politicians, senators and congressmen will beam down at you as you sip. Accommodations range from the Economy Petite Single to the family Freedom Trail Suite, where cozy bean bags, activity tables, and children's costumes make for an entertaining stay.

Great trip

The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. The room was a bit small but we were only there to sleep, the rest of the time we were sight seeing. The hotel was very convenient to restaurants and sights. Only one block to the subway. We were celebrating birthdays and were surprised to get room service of 2 Boston Cream pies and a bottle of wine courtesy of the hotel.

Right in the middle of it all!

If you are in Boston for the history and charm, this is the place for you. We walked everywhere! Convenient to the subway/bus system and lots of fun places to explore. A room the size of ours would be difficult with children or 4 adults, but was fine for us. Beds were very comfortable and Select Guest membership got us drinks delivered free everyday. Lots of history in this hotel and the area, but we never saw Mr. Parker's ghost, although we did go searching!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk around a few blocks when you first get there. There are some good, reasonably priced places to eat in the area and lots of them at the Quincy Market which is walkable for any age. Food at the Last Hurrah bar in the hotel is tolerable, but better sandwiches are available close by. Food is expensive in Boston, but you can find cheaper ways to eat. Sodas and ice cream at nearby CVS and wonderful bagels at Quincy Market and a bagel shop right down the street can help save money.

4th of july weekend

We only stayed overnight but everything about the stay was good. It was very hot outside but the room was comfortable. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was great. We did valet parking and got the car out during our stay. The wait was not long once we called to get the car.

stay away from parker

The waiters were horrible. One waiter had his thumb in my soup! There are two bars in the hotel, they were hardly ever open. The chef in the dining room complained to me @ the management and how horrible his working conditions were. All this during a holiday weekend.

Honeymoon Stay

We received complementary champagne and strawberries on our honeymoon stay! The location was great, the room was somewhat smaller than expected, but that was okay. The AC was the worst thing...we kept it on 60 the entire time and it would fluctuate between too cold and too hot.

Good but greedy

Although the hotel is ideally situated & is of a high standard, I was irritated by their greed; almost everything we wanted was an extra & excessive charge.

Long weekend trip

We really enjoyed staying at this classic hotel. The room was quite nice but on the small side. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a very nice restaurant that we used one morning for breakfast. The best thing for us was the location. Located downtown and just a short walk to Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market for shops and eating. The north end area which is very nice is about a 20 minute walk. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Historic Hotel

This is a fabulous historic hotel in Boston just minutes from the Quincy Market. The lobby is gorgeous with its carved wood ceiling. There are several management staff in the lobby to guide you as to where to go. Hotel restaurant is great. Hotel is famous for the Omni Parker house rolls and Boston Cream pie. Centrally located - so we did not have to take a cab. T is a few blocks away or we walked.
