Great trip
The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. The room was a bit small but we were only there to sleep, the rest of the time we were sight seeing. The hotel was very convenient to restaurants and sights. Only one block to the subway. We were celebrating birthdays and were surprised to get room service of 2 Boston Cream pies and a bottle of wine courtesy of the hotel.

Great location!
We have stayed at the Parker House before and it is close to the things we enjoy while in Boston. We saw Harry Connick Jr at the Colonial and it was a great show. Took uin a duck tour, and just walked aroung the city. We know what to expect at the Omni Parker, and it is always top notch.

Great location,friendly service...dated.
Great location with easy access to all sites and subway (the "T"). Easy access from airport, no need to take a taxi ($30), instead spend $1.70 on subway: it's a 30 mins overall journey using airport shuttle to Logan airport subway staion first then Boston city center. The hotel is 10 mins walk from destination station. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are adequate. They would have qualified as 4* when they were newly/last refurbished but that would have been a while ago. Lobby is impressive but internal corridors and decor look a bit dated. It's clean though. Do ask for a room with a bath tub if you want one as some rooms have only showers.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Hotel restaurant smelled great, but price too high for me. Go to the right from School St. entrance and go about a block to Boloco. Great variety of bowl and burrito meals at good price.

History is not enough...
The 2 double beds room was ridiculously small. Haven't been in such a small room before!! The bathroom was tiny also to serve a family with 2 teenage kids. I couldn't get my money back and walk away from the hotel because the room price was nonrefundable and I was exhausted. I couldn't use my tax exemption privilege, as a diplomat. So I was overcharged $85.68 for no reason. You see I reserved the room through a travel website, and in this case hotels don't want to deal with the terms of the booking. When I contacted with the hotel 2 days prior to my arrival (with Ali through texting) and asked not to be charged any taxes, they said that I had to ask it from the travel website and I got the same answer by the travel website. So diplomats, be careful!!! Apart from that, the Omni Parker House services were in a very high level. The good think about the hotel is it's location in the center of the city.

A fantastic Place
Although the rooms are "compact" the mood and setting more than make up for it. Well located and within walking distance of anything you might want to do. All employees are very nice and ready to help if you need assistance. The food "Boston Cream Pie" was wonderful.
