[...] checked us in, upgraded our room to one with a Balcony overlooking Faneuil Hall since Nov is off season and they had ... open rooms, and was just fabulous in every way! He went above and beyond, helping us with dining suggestions and directions, and even personally picking up a bag I had left at a nearby restaurant. The entirety of the staff is super professional and personable. We loved everything about this hotel from the great staff, clean and well decorated (and recently renovated) rooms, to the perfect location and hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks availble complimentary in the lobby. Parking is $40 a night but this is about the same for all hotels in Boston and actually cheaper than many lots or garages. And so much easier because they have valet :)

Anniversary Trip
Sunburst Nov 12, 2009
We spent 3 nights. The first morning the fire alarm went off at 5:30 am and the we were told to remain calm and stay in our ... room for further instructions. Then then next two nights the maid staff started knocking on our doors at 6 am to see if we wanted cleaning. The privacy sign was up! This was unacceptable. After tipping the valet $5.00 he walked away so we could put our own bags in the car. Maybe wasn't enough, however he is in a service industry. BTW he received $5 everytime the car was pulled out over those 3 days which was more than two times per day! Stay at Rhe Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, classy, service, clean. Also lovely gathering area with coffee and tea every morning on the house then 5 to 6 free wine!

Comfortable and convenient hotel
Jennifer Nov 2, 2009
We visited Boston for the first time in October 2009. The trip was for business, but we stretched it out for a few days. We ... chose the MB based on reviews, location, and a friend's recommendation. The location was great - right in the middle of everything. The hotel was nicely appointed but not pretentious. The room was spotless. I have never seen a bathroom that was so clean. The hallways and rooms smelled pleasant and clean. We were upgraded to a room on the 7th (top) floor with a small balcony overlooking Faneuil Hall. The first room they sent us to was on the 3rd floor. The view was not great and there was a lot of street noise. We asked if there were any higher rooms available and they gave it to us. There were planters with flowers on the balcony railings that really added charm to the view. [...] We bought the Go Boston card and it was very helpful. It included a guide book that gave driving, walking and subway directions to the included attractions. The only complaint we had was that everything had to be done by 5:30. Actually only a few attractions were open later than that anyway because it was the off season. The card included the Gray Line tour, duck tour, Liberty Ride in Lexington, admission to a lot of historic homes and museums and a few restaurant discounts. There were a lot of attractions to choose from. We did not have a car with us. We took a taxi to and from the airport and rode the subway or walked everywhere. We bought a 7 day link pass for fifteen dollars that was very convenient. The link pass also included buses, so we took a bus to Lexington. We then caught the Liberty Ride tour that went through Lexington and Concord. We also toured some historic homes and taverns. The bus took us back to the end of the subway line and then the subway took us back downtown to the MB. The travel time was about an hour. We also took the Gray Line Fall Foliage Spectacular tour. It was an all day trip that took us up into New Hampshire to view spectacular scenery. The bus picked us up at the Marriott Long Wharf hotel (less than a 10 minute walk from the MB).The Duck Tour was fun and informative. I recommend you take it early in your stay because it really helps you get your bearings. We also went to the Skywalk in the Prudential Building. We walked the Freedom Trail, but did not take a tour. The Public Garden is beautiful - don't miss the duck statues if you are a fan of "Make Way for Ducklings."We walked the trail in sections, as it would have taken a full day to see it all. We visited the Bunker Hill Monument and Museum as well as the USS Constitution Museum. We did not tour the ship because the lines were long and we didn't have time. There was a whale watching trip available, but it was cold and rainy so we didn't take it. Restaurants we enjoyed: Durgin Park (fried seafood), Union Oyster House (clam chowder and lobster), Legal Seafood (clam chowder, lobster roll and fried oyster sandwich), The Daily Catch (great calamari), Mike's Pastry (canolli), Dunkin Donuts (coffee and breakfast sandwiches). We did not eat at the hotel restaurant or order room service. I would definitely recommend the Millenium Bostonian hotel. The bedding and linens were high quality and the room was nicely decorated. Our room looked exactly like the picture on the MB website.

was great location for what i had planned on. did not like , paying for internet service, calling room service for ice, no ... free bottle water like club quarter's of boston. orbitz had last minute offer for club quarter's, that would of saved me $125.00 on room alone. had no view from window's, just the wall from building 6' away. was nice be be close to quincy market. but ammintie's not great. all staff were great. just not happy with no avalible vending machine to get late night snack at my convience. do not plan on staying here again in september on next trip, will use club quarter's of boston
