The Lenox is nice and well-located
The Lenox is nice and well-located with a vintage feel to it. However, a revamp - especially of the bathrooms - will be needed within the next few years.

Cozy downtown luxury
We loved everything about this hotel from the first minute - from the friendly doorman to the first step into the beautiful lobby. The staff was helpful and always had a smile. My friend was happy with the work-out room, and we were so glad for the complimentary coffee every morning. We loved going to the pub for a Guiness and delicious clam chowder. The room was lovely and quiet, with very comfortable beds and very nice bathrooms. When we come back to Boston we will definitely stay here again!

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Don't pass up seeing the inside of the Old Public Library just a block north! It is absolutely incredible inside, with massive marble stairways, stone lions, arches, whole walls of huge old paintings, and a courtyard. Stunning! Be sure to go all the way up to the top!

Historic and modern
Booked this on [...] at a good rate when I had to attend a meeting at the convention center. I loved the historic flair of the hotel and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My room was clean and quiet, had a large flat screen TV, a radio clock that worked and was easy to set and I was pleasantly surprised to find a docking station for my iPod and free wireless internet access. Great location with only a few steps to the convention center, shopping and a number of nice restaurants. I'll go back in a heart beat!

Perfect for a weekend getaway
As soon as we walked into the lobby we knew we were in for a great hotel experience. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The shower was hot and relaxing. The T stop is very close so traveling around the city is no problem.

The hotel was excellent, the staff
The hotel was excellent, the staff in particular were incredibly helpful and very friendly. The concierge even arranged our car hire, and the car was delivered to the hotel, the staff even phoned the hire company to collect it when we returned. The location is very good, near to Newbury Street which is the best part of town for tourists, its an older building so the rooms are different shapes but they have a safe, fridge, large TV etc. The hotel has a pub, a cocktail bar and a bar/restaurant, a small gym and a business centre. We really enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be staying there again.

Beautiful Hotel with Old World Charm
This hotel was in a great location - close to shopping, the library, and great restaurants. The hotel is in a wonderful old building, that has been beautifully restored. From the lobby to the hallways to the room - everything was very elegant. The City Bar, off of the lobby, was dark and quiet with a contemporary vibe. They had great home-made potato chips! We also tried the pub restaurant and it was good as well. My only complaint was the room layout. While it afforded a nice walk-in closet with comfy robes, the bathroom was at the far end of the room. The bathroom is usually located near the entrance of the room, along with the closet providing a bit of a buffer between the hallway noise and the bed. Unfortunately, some noisy, (but funny) Brits didn't realize that we could hear every word said in the hallway. There was also a large gap under our door which didn't help the noise issue. I would definitely stay there again, but request a room at the very end of the hall.
