The Hyatt Regency Boston hotel offers modern amenities in the historic heart of Boston. Large windows offer spectacular views of the waterfront and the dome of the Massachusetts State House, allowing guests some of the city's best sights without having to leave their rooms. This hotel is conveniently connected to a Macy's department store, so visitors can do some shopping without having to wander too far away. Many of the city's finest attractions are actually within walking distance of the Hyatt Regency Boston. The hotel is big on pets and families, so feel free to bring the kids, both two- and four-legged.

Hints and tips

Corner rooms tend to offer much more space than other guest rooms. There are other buildings nearby, so rooms on higher floors offer a better view of the city, in addition to being quieter than rooms on lower floors.

Large guest parties in town for a conference, convention or other event can book interconnecting rooms. This may also be a good option for families.

Very over rated

Old Hotel. Noisy plumbing, so noisy that it disturbed our sleep. Being renovated at present. Expensive.

Great location, accommodating staff

All the features and amenities one looks for in a large chain, higher end hotel. The only drawback is the degree of construction in the area. Can be a bit nosy in the morning but certainly not overwhelming. Staff was very flexibile with our early check-in and late check-out needs. Would stay again.

Hyatt - Theater District in Boston

I'm a big Hyatt fan, but this place needs some attention. I've stayed there twice this month with my family and both times they had issues getting us into a room with the proper bed set-up. We had to some down to the front desk after trying to check in. also, many plumbing fixtures are loose adn there was a sopping wet box of Kleenex in the bathroom - not the end of the world but I expect better from Hyatt.

Will definitely come back!

The hotel is in a FANTASTIC location. Great price too, and decor is modern. In theater district, about two blocks from Boston Common. I walked all the way from Quincy Market to here. The Cheers bar is just on the other side of Boston Common. I would definitely stay here again.

If you're from NYC (used to walking!), you would definitely NOT need a cab to get around from this hotel. You can WALK to almost everywhere from this location. No cabs necessary, unless you're tired!

The Old City Tour Trolley, with the two day pass allowed us to see most of Boston. Well worth the money.

Good standard hotel in great location

I stayed at Hyatt Regency to attend a conference. It was easy access to just about everywhere, either by walking distance, or by access to public transport. Everything was clean, tidy and professional. Staff at the reception, and in the the bar, was pleasant, service minded. I had a good stay. Thanks.

Good location but unorganised staff

We arrived at 6pm (it was a 4pm check-in) - no room was available. The reception staff finally gave us an inferior room - well below our pre-paid room confirmation. The resident manager was called and he reallocated our room to our original arrangement. The reception staff were unorganised and somewhat unfriendly. On a positive note the hotel's location is in an excellent position within Boston.
