The hotel looks better after renovation!
I've stayed here before, and it was always okay, but it definitely went up a notch. The renovations to the lobby, etc are very nice. The food was better than it used to be, actually really good, and the waiter who delivered my room service was really lovely. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom is lousy, far too dim, and the mirror is just too far away to see well when you are getting ready to go out as a result. There should be a vanity mirror (I shouldn't have to call the front desk for one, which is an option). Comfortable bed too

Awesome School Visit
We went to Boston to visit a school in the area, and this hotel was in the perfect location. Anything that you needed was only a few minutes walk from the hotel, which had a friendly staff, clean rooms, and an amazing breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Boston.

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
No need to take your car anywhere. Everything is in walking distance, or you could travel by T. This will save you money on parking, which could be expensive in this city.

nice, but noisy
I got a room here for the night before some early morning work events in the city, to get a good night sleep and not have to deal with the traffic in the morning. The hotel was nice enough, but noisy guests in the hallway (made worse by the open floor plan) and a noisy heating system made it difficult to get any sleep. I probably would not stay here again.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Like most American cities, downtown is now a bit of a ghost town, unfortunately, especially nights and weekends.

Great Value for Me
This is a perfect hotel location for me because my client is directly across the street. Average hotel (in the good sense) GREAT PILLOWS---very firm. TV package a bit lacking but ok. Restaurant food is very good but a bit over-priced. A tiny bowl of soup and a plate of fruit cost $32 after all the fees---not including a tip. Handled the blizzard very well. Staff wonderful. I always enjoy my stay there and I would definitely recommend.

experience during the nemo blizzard
We were stuck at the hotel during the blizzard. Ended up paying full price for the rooms. The hotel was short staffed and we didn't even get housekeeping for 2 days, we ordered room service which was all messed up. We called the hotel to let them know it was unfair. They refunded our incidentals (minor) but not much more.

Great service
Slightly awkward check in and finding the entrance, but great staff at the lobby and concierge. That made the difference.

A great place to stay
This is a top shelf place, friendly staff who cannot help you enough. Very good food. The room was exceptional. I would go back there again if business takes me there. The Gym and the pool were also off top quality. Great experience.
